No. I think the only reason is Lamb. Yes morey did not maximize his picks. I think that wont matter depending on how highly my thoughts of Lamb pan out. He might have gotten lucky in the draft he messed up with the rest of his picks. The one he did right keeps me hopeful.

One year ago we would've ****ted out pants if someone told us we'd get Lamb, White and Jones. Now all are hating on it because of ridiculous hopes for Dwight or stupid believes that Zeller will be a great pro. Stupid...

 

I am still shaking my head in disbelief. Any hopes of a draft righting the ship have been dashed. I am stunned. I had little confidence in our "crack" management team, but now I have lost the little I had. I have to find another hobby, this is too depressing. So you think these are the players Orlando wanted for Howard? I don't think so.

No. I do not think that tonight was a draft disaster for the Houston Rockets.

 

It's defiinitely not a success

 

I even ended up right on the no trades up and Dwight. I still say this is right. I am so excited we got Lamb. How many of those picked above him did we expect to go above him? Beals we know could. Then Rivers, Waiters, and Ross? Nobody thought those guys were better a few weeks ago and I still dont. I dont have Damian Lillard above Lamb either. Nor Andre Drummond or Meyers Leonard.

 

Saw McHale's interview after picks we're made and I could tell he was crying inside. Tried the poker face, but when you're dying inside, it is hard to hide. Hope someone gives him a hug.

 

Every indication from the Rockets was that they had too many young players already and that they didn't want 3 rookies in this draft. Maybe 1 great rookie. But preferably a veteran. We end up with 3 rookies. That's a failure by the management's own estimation. I don't know how you sugarcoat that.

This morning everyone gagged at the thought of Gasol. Tonight has been so uneventful that we'd probably be ecstatic at trading all our assets for him.
