Here is the biggest problem...this team going without direction...is only preventing players from playing their best...7 Forwards??? and No Centers??? wow...I really must be missing something... Scola, Kyle, and Martin are all on their way out...
I agree this team has no direction. You can't just keep stockpiling BPA every season.....eventually you will just have a bunch of decent players all at the same position. We have that problem right now. So annoying.
no direction is 100% on the money. we still hve martin scola lowry, werent able to turn them or any of our draft picks into anything bigger. terrible...terrible....smh
i didnt realize that the trade deadline moved up to the 25th pick in the NBA draft... rocket fire murray!!!!
Now the only "valuable assests" we really have are Scola, Lowry, and Martin...And it really seems we replaced each player... Dragic for Lowry, Lamb for Martin, and White for Scola? Bottom line...no direction...reason...Adelman didnt want to stay...and "got fired"...Morey really might be too smart for himself...he really didn't expect 1-4...players that have been shipped out from here...should actually be happy...we have drafted a bevy of PF...and none...none have resulted in a Center...
Ya'll have no freakin clue what Morey has planned once free agency starts. chill... we have tradeable assets and ways to open cap space. Can you wait a lil while? gheeze killin me.
We don't doubt that Morey has a plan... What we do doubt is any of his trade(s) within the last two years actually coming into reality (example: ESPN or Rotoworld posting it as an official trade going down...) Like I said in the rockets draft chat, Morey needs to take off the arm floaties he still currently has on around the wading pool area and run to the diving board, and make a big cannonball splash off the DEEP END! be a bit more assertive and be a bit more risky... That may not be the "morey ball" style, but at least myself as a fan grow tired of "all talk and no ESPN/Rotoworld-headline action of an actual trade happening and Van Gundy and company thoughts of what they thought of the trade. Yes, we obtained Kevin Martin but he wants out of Houston (does NOT want to re-sign here because of coach McHale) so Morey just like the Kevin Martin trade, trade him and Lowry and whoever else you have to trade to get a SOLID, proven superstar and get complimentary pieces for that star so that he feels at home. If that star bolts? Well, I guess we will cross that bridge when we get there, huh? But at least we would be on a new path towards either a) becoming better with our new superstar(s) signing max deals with us or b) rebuilding through the draft, trading our star for draft picks, going the OKC route. But us standing still? It's been like this the past almost THREE seasons! That is all. Till I see something new regarding a new superstar coming to Houston, I am very disappointed in Morey. NOTE: No... I can not wait a little while... How do we know that something different will happen at the trade deadline? We don't... We have no guarantee of this.
our direction is simple be the best lottery team and keep drafting at #14 and hopefully we'll get drexler 2.0
I have zero doubt that Morey is working hard and wants to do something. I've heard that line for a while now.
It takes two to tango, and Les won't let him tank, so I don't see him having any other options than taking the BAP every year and hope one of them becomes a difference maker.
