He has a nice wingspan but small shoulders, so adding too much bulk will detract from his game and weigh him down. The KMart, KD body is pretty much it for him, so his success will depend on how feisty he can be and how quick his release is. Right now I don't see much that separates him from being a Nick Young type, borderline rotation player. A best case scenario would be a sleek off the ball type like Rip Hamilton. Don't see any similarities between him and KMart aside from the lean body, which is a GOOD thing.
Im not a big fan of Lamb's...But recognize he is a good ball handler and scorer. UConn left littel to be desired with their team this past yr.
Nothing great right now. But he has the elevation, release and mechanics to build himself into a decent one like Michael Redd, who wasn't known for his shot coming out of college. It's all about harnessing potential with this guy. Late bloomer as well, so a lot of development to go.
Thanks for answering Ronald. If we end up keeping him I'll be watching intently. I really enjoy players who can shoot the basketball well.
Awesome, we got a spare Kevin Martin for when her p***y hurts! Ha ha ha Just kidding, of course. I think Dwight Howard's really going to like this kid. I foresee a staunch first-year campaign, including the traditional "snub" at the rookie/sophomore game. Finally, Donuts has a running mate!
Stern told Cleveland to screw the Rockets and leave Robinson for Sacramento to stop the trade. Gilbert wants to please his master.
Well he messed up big time if Lamb fell to us because of that. Not only did we not have to move up to get this guy? We kept everyone here in no trades. This is one guy I would have accepted moving up in the draft for. Seriously? Waiters and Rivers? Those guys got picked off of hype and late combine risers. Much like NFL sometimes happens with their draft Lamb is better than both and was thought of as such by a wide margin when the draft process started. I even had Lamb above Beal back then too.
I'll take it a step further. Stern absolutely did not want Dwight Howard in Houston, so he begged Michael Jordan to take MKG 2nd overall( with a promise for top 3 draft chioce for next years draft). Once Thomas Robinson wasnt taken by the Bobcats( i already knew what was gonna happen) Stern screwed the Rockets from getting Dwight Howard basketball reasons
Lamb is NICE. Smooth old school type of SG who is effective off screens and moves very well without the ball. I have a lot of confidence in Lamb, hopefully Martin gets moved. Lamb will be ready, battling Lee everyday in practice will be nice.
It's funny how Sacramento went public that they wanted Robinson or they could not pass up the trade with Houston. I don't think anyone in the top 5 has ever announced who they wanted prior to the draft other than the team picking first. Lamb, White and Jones should be great for the Rockets, but we still need someone who can force games in the fourth quarter.
