Post up defense, Drummond was .422 ppp.

Best post up defense stats in the entire draft at 18 years old. (Yes better than Henson....)

Cousins actually had game though right? This guy doesn't. He is just a big body that can jump and run.

Woah, I just looked up this stiffs stats.

    10 ppg?

    8 rbs?

    29% Free Throw shooters?

GAG I hope we dont end up with this guy, hell even Thabeet was better than him at UConn in his final year.

It's just annoying how people here don't know jack about players(NCAA or NBA), maybe watched them in one game or on youtube and label them. If you don't really know a player's game you shouldn't even talk about him.

Don't ever pick a guy with a questionable motor. Once he signs that big rookie contract, he will coast all the way to the end of that contract.

    Regards,

    Hasheem Thabeet

I don't care how raw you are. Near 7fter at 275lbs and can run and jump like he does? You take the chance. I'd rather take a chance and fail on him than choose some avg role player who will end up playing on 5 teams when his career is over.

Aside from the fact that Thabeet was 4 years older coming out of college, he really didn't have better stats overall. Care to look at advanced stats? Didn't think so.

Drummond is already way ahead of Thabeet in terms of tangible basketball skill and IQ. Not to mention his clear advantage athletically. He is also 18. Thabeet was 22.....

Yep exactly. Keep in mind we are not saying he is as good of a prospect as Dwight. Dwight's strengths were much higher, however in terms of how your question was asked, this is correct.

Rocket fans booed that they drafted Robert Horry out of Alabama cause they thought he was the next Buck Johnson, another Alabama guy the Rockets had back in the day

Oh I am sorry, megabastard, I dont have the time to watch every player in the NCAA in hopes the Rockets might have a shot of drafting him.

Lemme reality check you for a second, if you are some sort of great basketball talent evaluator you wouldnt be working at Frenchys, you would be earning a living off your scouting abilities. I made this thread to ASK if he would be better since I didnt know much about him. So you can continue to be a jackass OR you can fill in the gaps of knowledge other people may have on this board without thinking you can piss all over them because you have some superiority complex.

    Deal?

Have you seen Tim Duncan's freshman college numbers?

You are comparing a guy who spent 3 years in college (Thabeet) to a guy who spent one year in college.

They are not comparable at all. One is just a tall guy who isn't athletic at all, who never really liked basketball and wishes he played soccer and the other is a guy who has balled most of his life and is super athletic and is entering the NBA at 18.

Drummond has a basketball background, unlike Thabeet who never played until H.S. Hopefully this gives him an understanding of the game that Thabeet never had.

    Drummond is definitely a risk.
His offensive game is VERY VERY raw.
But he's not going to be Thabeet.

Thabeet not only was VERY raw, but he was terribly terribly slow and clumsy.
    Drummond is extremely athletic.
