It seems everyone is so focused on getting FA's and high draft picks, they are failing to realize that maybe the reason no one wants to be here, including many of our own players, could be McHale. I recall hearing similar things from Minn when McHale was there. Any surprise he's had no offers since leaving Minn?

I have been a Rox fan for 44 yrs and can't remember hearing so many players unhappy with being here. Nor hearing players flat out say they don't want to be here either.

The problem could also be upper management and their reputation of turning players. For the last several years, its just been a turnstile of players each year. Always tinkering and making changes. There's been no continuity or identity with this team. This is noticable by the decline in attendance and lack of national exposure.

I don't believe Hou can move forward until we make changes in our coaching staff and possibly higher up.

Or it could be because we don't have a star. Seriously, stars play with other stars.

McHale has only been coach here for a year and we were getting the same results in FA when Adelman was coach - Bosh, Melo, etc. Don't think there's much evidence to point toward the coaching staff.

When Chase Budinger complained about butting heads with McHale, thats when i knew it was not just Lowry

Dalembert for all his mishaps as a player, is a good humanitarian and does a lot for his country, and is a pretty nice guy( and even complained about McHale)

I just hope McHale can relate to the younger generation of players a little better, i wouldnt mind hiring a young coach in the mold of Scott Brooks or the Latin Coach in Portland( someone of their ages can relate better to our team). Because we are about to have an influx of young talent come in

As far as I know only Lowry is unhappy with McHale. Martin is the only other seemingly unhappy person that I know of and that's because he is still crying about trying to trade him.

Feigen, and Chad Ford said a LOT of players were complaining about McHale

    including Budinger

Budinger honestly looked relieved to be traded, and its gotta feel good knowing you are going to a new team, that treats you like a member of the team, and not an assest

Also i believe Kevin Martin could have been one of the many Rockets complaining as well

Or could it be that the culture of the NBA has changed so much in your 44 years as a Rocket fan? The sence of entitlement, the poor work ethic, and attitude problems players have today seemed less prevelant in the up until the mid to late 90's. You could be right in the sence that McHale is an old school coach that has failed to adapt. I mean for real. Who benches players for disciplinary or performance reasons anymore? God forbid. He really needs to learn how to coddle these players more.

come on, we all loved our fuhrer, but we have to move on! the fuhrer would have wanted us to. Mctalky has the makings to be a great coach. He is just going to have to make some adjustments and learn from what did not work(cough scola at center cough). I'm confident he will though.

McHale was having to work with Adelmans softy-style spread players. He is in process of purging and getting his type of players, and he will mold them in to his style of play. Those players with love him and go to war with him. Give him time.

NO, McHale would NOT put Westbrook on the bench. Lowry was out and Dragic was playing like an allstar. When Lowry returned, the Rockets was doing well and Lowry wasn't in game shape yet. By the time he return to full health, the season was basically over.

Its not the fact that we have turned star players, but the perception about how we are run as an organization. Not only are we going through so called role players, but our last few coaches have not left on good terms. Rudy, Van Gundy, and then Adelman. Don't think players notice those things? Those were pretty popular coaches who've had success, but yet were basically "run out of town". So we are now stuck with a coach who has not had success as a coach or GM and is known as "old school".

I truly think our inability to attract players and now maybe even a good coach runs high up through the organization.
