Rivers is so much better than Martin. Martin was always a shooter and a flopper and never gave 2 sheits about defense. Rivers wants to win. Rivers want to improve his game. Rivers wants to be the best guy on the court every night. Martin isn't worth crap anymore because he is plagued by injuries and is a streaky shooter who doesn't play defense. Attitude wise, Rivers will push his teammates to play as hard as possible. You can't say the same about Kevin Martin.

Duke fan likes Austin Rivers. Surprise

You think Rivers is already better than a top sg in the nba?

    key word: good

He's not a great shooter. He's a good 3 point shooter. The highest team average for the NBA last year from 3 point land was San Antonio at 39%. A whole 3% more. The Rockets averaged 35.9%. I'd say we were a good but not great 3 point shooting team.

Right now? No. But does he have to potential to be better than Kevin Martin in the next 4 years? Yes. In 4 years, Kevin Martin will be 33 years old and Rivers will be 23. I'd say one would be out of his prime years and probably injured and the other would be entering his prime. For what it's worth, Kevin Martin only shot 35% from 3 point range.

Ok. Fair enough. This is what I read:
Yes, I'm sure a young Rivers will be better than Kmart 4 years from now . If you compare primes, I don't think Rivers will come close to Kmart.

bro are you serious? first of all, shooting 36% from college 3pt land is not "good". Second of all, please don't try to prove your point by averaging all of the players who shoot NBA 3pointers, including antione walker-type players that jack up 3's against their coach's better judgement. That's completely ridiculous. A GOOD shooting guard needs to be able to shoot over 36% from the NBA 3. And if not, he at least needs to be able to defend. Rivers can't do either.

I expect more of a fizzle than a splash. Lack of activity the last few hours could be a good thing or a bad thing.

how often has a rumored big trade or any trade by morey has been executed. he is the silent assasin. i bet he wants everyone to think that we want howard but lebron is our real target.

i fully expect a lebron trade to happen in the next couple of hours.

Hmmm... One bear out, one bear in? Don't see us getting the Dancing Bear, but admire his game.

Availability is the most under-rate attribute in professional sports.

Looking at stats for Kmart is a waste of time because he only gives you those stats about half a season. The rest of the season your still paying him and watching your backup and your backups backup.

Morey will likely trade all the picks for Ricky Williams.

lol ;) If the Rockets do in fact get Rivers (I'd rather have Dwight Howard), I think Austin will prove a lot of the doubters here wrong.

Kings are looking to pick Drummond and hope for Robinson, it's looking less and less that we are going to get that 5th pick. Let's hope Morey didn't put all his hope on that pick only and has talked to the Cavs, Blazers and even Wizards or Bobcats.
