    It's a longshot, but what if Morey's move up target is Harrison Barnes. I know we already have a good young small forward, but Barnes might be the better player.

    I havent seen DeAndre Jordan type athleticism from him. He's not a high flyer like that.


    I see him more in the mold of a Ben Wallace .... Not a "Bad player" just not the impact on both ends of the floor I expect from a top 5 pick. I believe he will be a plus defender , tho not the shot blocker that Jordan is , he'll make his money with his quick feet rather than great leaping ability.He can defend 1 on 1 or pick and roll ....


    But how can you leave a guy who shoots 27% from the stripe on the floor during crunch time. You only get so many time outs to use for sub's.

    We will end up with either Drummond or Lilliard. We'll get this pick and Tyreke Evans by trading Lowry, Martin, 16 and 18.

    We'll get Perry Jones with the 12th pick.

    After the smoke settles, we draft more NBA propects with trade of Lowry and Martin. I love being optimistic, but it isn't a disappointment, if we settle for prospectful assets for the future, or for future trades. I can't wait next year and the year after, we'll be in the market for superstars.

    Morey won't overpay...

    As a result, the Rockets will be stuck with the 12th, 16th, and 18th picks. We will get our annual 6'9 pf, maybe a Euro to stash overseas along with another future "asset".

    There's been rumors of the Rockets attempting to acquire the 5th pick. According to the rumors, the Rockets would have to take on salary (chuck hayes). Well to get what you want, sometimes one must pay the price. Morey's made some shrewd moves, but he's never overpaid to get the player/"assett" that he covets.

    Will he meet the asking price for a top ten pick? I say no, what say you?
