[ClutchFans] Rockets will seek Dwight Howard trade... again

Negotiating a sign and trade.

If Howard wants to make max dollars but for another team, and Morey isnt willing to negotiate...then the only way Howard can make that money is by remaining a Rocket.

I would imagine they have some potential deals in place with teams that are based on the draft going down a certain way. If player X is off the board at pick Y, Team Z will trade the Rockets their pick. IF we get into the top 10, it probably won't be until the draft is in process.

 

Damn it! I want to go to sleep but I can't. Happens every year with the Rockets during the week of draft night and trading deadline.:grin:

 

Don't hold your breath .. I'm guessing Orlando's new management will try and do everything possible to talk Howard into staying .. No way they just give up without giving it their best effort.

It's just coming up to Midday here, so if any developments happen, i'm around to post them up if you hardcore guys need a sleep.

 

The 5th pick and the 12th pick, plus absorbing Turkeyglues contract, I don't think Mouse City is going to top that. Then they can draft Drummond and hope he becomes the next great Big Man.

And then in five years, Drummond can force a trade to LA.

 

That guy is way off. There's about a 1% chance Dwight gets traded to Brooklyn.

 

I don't object to drafting the talent, and that would be ideal. However, trading for it or signing free agents isn't bad either.

 

Jameer Nelson has purported informed the Magic that he is opting out, per the Orlando Sentinel. This may be a good development for the Rockets, if the Magic are now in the market for a PG, i.e. Lowry.
