Adelman said that he wanted to coach the team again, which apparently surprised Morey. And he talked with Morey for a few days to see if it could be worked out.

Before that Adelman contemplated about returning to the northwest and made some hints about possibly moving on.

Same reason we let JVG go - they couldn't win enough or with the junk Morey was giving them.

We had two awesome coaches, and let two awesome coaches go. We traded Adelman for Kevin McHale? What on earth were we thinking???

I can only hope that Morey finally woke up and smelt the coffee, and is stockpilling picks in what will be the deepest draft in a generation to either get a couple of superstars (dream on) or actually rework this team into a something we haven't been since Hakeem played - long and athletic.

We can totally reshape the direction of this team. In a league where athelicism is more important than ever, we need a lot more of it. No more tweeners, no more undersized guys. No more players with a major critical flaw.

Let's get guys who are tall. Let's get guys who can play mad defense and can explode to the basket. You put that in place, you can keep Lowry at pg. You have that next year will be a lot of fun (losing fun but fun).

I always find it weird that McHale, despite taking over as a new coach, despite having to work with a lockout-shortened season, still manages to get his team the same record as his predecessor a future HOFer, is still considered crap by his fans.

Morey didn't improve his "junk" this past year. And if he did, that was countered by KMart and Lowry's injuries. Yet the Rockets still performed the same. Either Adelman's a load of crap too, or McHale is actually a very good coach.

Um, I think you forgot about the fact that McHale actually had a shot-blocking 7-ft center to work with... and another one after the trade deadline.

And did I mention the gem Morey found in the second round? And whatever is counted by Lowry's injures was also countered by Dragic's emergence. And Martin was not missed mostly because of the addition of those two guys.

no, those are two totally different accounts.

the one you are talking about is a fake one, you can tell because of the underscore ( _ ) after the name, the REAL Woj twitter account does not have the underscore.

The rights to Lior Eliyahu did go to MINN with Budinger

Adelman took a team that was reeling from the loss of Yao Ming, loss of Artest and McGrady before, had Brooks as its starting pg, and no center and turned around a losing season and nearly got us in the playoffs. THe second half of that season we were playing some of the best basketball in the league. Adelman took a crappy team and made it pretty good. Had he another full season I am sure he'd have won 50 games.

McHale took the same team essentially, plus a center, and just underachieved. We should have won quite a few more games. He did a terrible job. If all you judge is by looking at wins and loses, you don't know what happened.

Not very sweet of you Lou. If you would take the time and look to see that the same team without a star still beat a lot of teams with stars. Multiple times. In a shortened season. On national T.V.

Chuck Hayes was as important to that team as anyone else, just look at how we did when he was hurt for 5 games. He contributed more to our success than that 7-ft center you are talking about who just got dumped.

Parsons was a nice surprise, but only neutralizes the loss of Shane.

Dragic's emergence and overcoming Lowry/Martin's injuries is a credit to the coach. At least that would be the spin if Adelman was still here. Plenty gave him all the credit when he was finally forced to start Lowry under similar circumstances.

For all you "results oriented" people who throw Morey under the bus, I guess its not very results oriented when the argument doesn't fit.

Are we talking about the same center here???:confused:

Because I remember that the Rockets added a center that the Kings refused to pay, one that they let go in order to sign a 6-6 center to replace him. A center that last offseason had almost no good offers and ended up taking a 1.5 yr deal with the Rockets. One that ended up getting benched many times for being a space cadet. One that ended up being worth 2 spots in a draft where pick 12 and pick 14 aren't really far apart.

If Dalembert was super awesome and cool as you are making him out to be, that he single-handedly allow the Rockets to stay afloat despite switching from HOF coach to worthless coach, then dude should be the centerpiece for a trade with Dwight Howard or top 5 pick right now.

McHale's team was missing the heart from the 2 years prior: Chuck Hayes. Chuck Hayes alone wins you 5 extra games.
