Yeah, no one called Houston a small market any way.

Jets were the only team in the NFL that actually worries about having a circus than having winning products..the Soap opera practically wrote itself...Tebow was destined for NY... and Goodell was busy pimp slapping the Saints..

Yeah but the point is the public reaction to it.

Goodell and other Commissioners are never talked about how Stern is.

Every big move that happens in the NBA, whether it's Davis going to NOH or Ewing going to the Knicks...from some NBA fans it's always "Stern pulled the strings to get that done."

I've never once heard that about Goodell...although yes, Roger is too busy suspending every player he possibly can...

    06/27/12 9:20PM EST – Bill Ingram:

The Houston Rockets are in hot pursuit of a lottery pick to try and lure Dwight Howard away from Orlando, but one issue they’re having in ongoing discussions with Toronto, according to a source familiar with the situation, is that the Raptors believe they have a real chance of landing Steve Nash, and so are reluctant to trigger a deal for Rockets point guard Kyle Lowry. The obvious appeal of bringing Nash home to Canada has Toronto hesitant to make a deal for another starting PG.

Not sure which US Open sport you are talking about, but yes, we will never forget Mad Max -- the Unabomber!

Not true. I hate David Stern as much as the next rational NBA fan, but baseball and hockey fans can't stand Selig and Bettman, respectively.

Wow. I was kidding when I said Doc's comment about "faith" = Jesus = Jesus Shuttlesworth, too. lol. Roy was a target of the Rockets back in his draft, too, wasn't he? Before Portland swooped in. With all these names being thrown around, I'm just going to sit back and wait (as if I have a choice) and wait for the fireworks.

Yes but it's usually for different reasons.

For example, many don't like Goodell because he's been changing the NFL into a pass happy league where QBs and WRs aren't supposed to be touched and allowed to fly around the field...and also because he's pretty happy to fine and suspend any one at any given time before a player is proven guilty or innocent.

But really...some people compare Stern to Vince McMahon. That's a heavy charge!

At this point in his career, with NO rings, why the heck would Steve Nash prefer to go "home to Canada" rather than "to a title contender"??

Throwing us a bone doesn't sound like the all happy move we were looking for but I still like what I've seen so far. Still need to move Martin but I can wait if it means more reward later. We probably aren't Finals bound next year so let's build.
