I wish the Dwight Howard trade talk is just a smoke screen and we gonna get one top 5 and one top 10 pick to rebuild.

The Nets and Hornets are separate entities with different owners. Stern just doesn't like Houston, unless the price of the ticket is $400 for the nosebleeds.

I hate how all the media heads and teams are looking at Houston's next move. They all want to predict what they're up to. I have a feeling that's what stopped talks with Toronto and Sacramento.

No...there is only one emperor..and that is David stern...

Leaders of NO and NJ...is direct reference to David Stern. The Draft is held at the Prudential center in Newark NJ... David is trying to interfere in a very non-subtle way...

Would any one be surprised to learn that Stern got involved in any way?

It's sad that people think this, but that's the reality of the NBA and David Stern.

If the Texans were trying to make a move to say get Revis or something you'd never hear one person say "I bet Goodell is intruding on this, trying to keep Revis in NYC."

Yet people always are suspicious of Stern. Not saying they are wrong to be suspicious of him, just saying that it is his reputation now that he pulls the strings of the entire NBA.

Its really his inability to really be straight with the NBA audience...and he just doesnt appear to be honest...then again he is a freaking Lawyer..:)

I think it is also just how things play out.

The top markets seem to always win out while the smaller markets just have to get lucky in the draft.

The Rockets arent really a small market team... and Les Alexander is probably just as upset...

Listen Im actually glad to see that Stern's actions might have actually saved our team, but its really about improper dealings when it comes to Stern and regardless how many media members and folks were at the draft...i think everyone guess that the pick was going to be New Orleans...and I think the next week the team was officially sold to the Saints Owner...just imo...David Stern doesnt have clean hands...

I don't get why people keep referring to Houston as a "small market."

Do non-Rockets fans not realize that Houston is the FOURTH-MOST-POPULOUS CITY in this country?!

(Chicago is third, L.A. is second, NY is first)

Well I'm not saying the Rockets are a small market team, but the actual small market teams seem to all wallow in suckiness while teams like the Knicks, Bulls, Lakers, Celtics etc seem to get all of the breaks.

I'm guessing that's why people are always suspicious of Stern.

    It's just interesting.

I mean Tebow was run out of Denver and then lands fortunately for the NFL right to Jets and no one ever mentions about Goodell pulling the strings there. (Not saying he did, but if something similar happened in the NBA...) Because right now Stern should have nothing to do with any trade involving any team since the league no longer owns the Hornets.
