what was that tweet about Batum that Hollinger recently responded to?

Something about someone trying to trick a team, so that Batum wuold fall to spurs?

Except how exactly would they get Howard while keeping the #5 pick?

For those who're unfamiliar with Lillard, I recommend watching this breakdown of his game. Pretty well done. Highlights his weaknesses as well as his strengths.

these mofos act like they know what maury is going to do. It's all a smokescreen for a smokescreen of a smokescreen. Maury owns your thoughts.

I question whether Lillard is just a Jason Terry clone. Which wouldn't be bad. Jason Terry's career is worthy of a typical #5 or #6 pick, but just a typical one. Better than a swing and a miss, but not a Dwayne Wade or anything.

Can he distribute and run a team successfully and be even better? Not sure.

All that said, seems like a smokescreen.

We don't want Lillard, we just want them to give us the 6th pick for Lowry.

"uh - sorry guys, Lillard will be gone at 6"

Lillard is nice, but we already have Dragic.

No we don't. Dragic is a free agent and can sign where ever he feels like. We only have Lowry.

Weren't we after Roy? I would think it's a good thing we missed out on Roy, who is no longer in the league.

But I guess it's just me.

We would've beaten the Jazz both times with Roy over Battier.

A smokescreen for sure. Trade talks with kings have failed twice, and if the GSW pick is the best available pick we could get, and we keep the pick, I would think the real target is Waiters (even if it was to trade for Howard). That being said, Portland is torn between the two ATM, and DM most likely wants to make them take the smoke. (I think Waiters has the 3rd highest upside, behind AD and ADr, but will be the 2nd best player from the draft, because ADr will fail)

His competition in college means nothing. He has a dominant ability that will transfer well over to the league. That is scoring. Scoring that this team currently needs.

Or could this info leaked to Ken Berger about them liking Lillard be the real smoke screen? Could they both be smoke screen?

Exactly. Roy also took the Blazers into the playoffs, something that Battier hasn't never been able to do.
