irrelevant move.... woulda thought the flex of Sams contract vs cap/tax woulda been worth more than a 2 spot bump....

Tell you the truth I really do not want Drummond either. He is just the lesser evil of Dwight. I think Barnes has star potential. Barnes is far safer. Lillard is far safer even though we have point guards. However some of you are obsessed with centers. The reality is Durant and Lebron are the drivers of the two finals team. Its arguable the Heat have no center. You want centers though. I want only star potential. Barnes, Robinson, Beal are part of the select few possible stars of this draft. Not Drummond people.

yeah, but i would rather have a 23 yr-old big with upside, and a better draft pick, than an extra year of Dalembert. He wasn't part of our future, and this guy doesn't get the fact that we are rebuilding.

I honestly thought so too. I can only get excited over this move because it's a little perplexing, leading me to believe Morey has a clear plan. That and the fact that this leaves no center on the roster, which hopefully is telling.

how many centers do the rockets have now with contracts? how have teams been kicking the crap out of houston on offense, how many times has houston been outrebounded and unable to protect the basket. Management isnt try to draft the next star, they are trying to trade for one and plug holes in the roster.

Reading those descriptions, I would definitely pick Leuer over Zeller.

I wouldn't pick Zeller at all though.

I dont care about our needs. I am only searching for the star first now. I could care less if our new center fills a need. There are few players with star potential in this draft. Those are Harrison Barnes, Mathew Lillard, Bradley beal, Thomas Robinson and one of them will be available if we move up into the top 6 or 5. I think its a mistake to take Andre Drummond or Dwight. However Drummond is less of a mistake since he has high upside and can be what you want in the paint. Not a star though. Maybe close to Bynum. Maybe. If he moves up? I still dont believe Morey knows what a actual star looks like until they already are stars. He has to prove it to me with a draft pick that turns into one.

I woulda thought Dalembert's contract was worth more than moving up two spots, but maybe the guys we got back are better than we think at first glance. Lever can really shoot and could turn out to be another Ryan anderson or Steve Novak or Matt bonner, and livingston might be insurance in case we deal Lowry and can't entice Llull to come over (I'm counting on us signing Dragic if those two things happen). So yea maybe we did get back some diamonds in the rough.

Great deal to get rid of dalembert and his contract. I like all of these moves so far, pretty good picks along with our assets and cap= Morey SPLASH coming up. And Morey is no small dude, so it will be a big splashhhh

All the other GM's are playing checkers while Morey is playing Magic:The Gathering.

2 spots is HUGE!!! Any of the teams in the top 10, are interested in players who would be available 12 and not 14. This move could be the signature on a trade.

The deal actually makes me think Morey's plan fell through an now he is just trying to get as high up as possible, even if it isnt top 10. Who knows though.

I like the deal. Moved up two spots, which might help us move up more. Got some decent backups at PG/SG and PF/C. Now, what happens to Kyle, Kevin, and Luis? How soon can we re-sign Dragic and Camby?

    What I'd love to see:
    Dragic/Livingston
    Batum/Lee
    Parsons/JTaylor
    Motijunas/Leuer
    Cousins/Camby

He's not projected to fall that far. This scenario is based off the assumption that T. Rob is selected with the #2 pick and that Houston selects Drummond with the #5 pick as a centerpiece for a Howard deal. And so, one of Lillard, MKG, or Barnes would still be available at #6.

This isn't anything more then wishful thinking on the behalf of Brian Berger of 750 AM- The Game. It's just interesting to hear how other teams' local media would like the draft to unfold.

A big would not fall to GSW at 14, though, at 12, a project C would most assured make it. They want a second pick, and a big. If 14/16 for 7 wasn't good enough, 12/16 should be. 1/2 top 10 picks, and still plenty of players left to get more.

12 is a lot better than 14. I don't know what we are going to do with Leuer, Brockman, or Livingston. Not much trade bait with those guys. They seem to be more of roster fillers than anything else.
