For those wondering, no, the Rockets are no longer pursuing LA's Pau Gasol. They were looking to pair him with Nene. But no longer . . .

He's joking, Morey is one of his good friends.

Isn't Camby a free agent?? I really hope that HOU can land D12 or if anything at least have a backup Center plan behind closed doors!:(

Yep, he has praised Morey as one of the best GM's in the league several times over the past few years.

The Bucks did not have the cap space to fully absorb Dalembert's contract. These players were required to make the salaries work.

Livington has an unguaranteed deal which make him easier to move and tradeable before July 1st as a salary dump for another team.

Why do people keep on posting that fool Bill Ingram as news?

Scola/Martin/Lowry still not gone yet. Could it be possible to clear enough cap space to sign for Dwight outright AND keep our current core?

I am fine with 27% 3pt shooting if a player is smart enough to know he's a bad 3pt shooter. Shaun isn't Rafer when it comes to that, he seldom shoots threes. Andrew Bynum shot more threes than Livingston did last year.

But after doing some googling, you're right -- $3.5 million is too pricey for what he offers.

Don't even need to trade Scola to keep the current core incl RFA with Dwight and 2nd star.

I love Camby a savvy veteran who will accept any role. I hope he gets to tutor Drummond next year in Houston.

I imagine he is right. The new GM hasn't even had a chance to meet with Dwight to say extend or you're being traded. More likely dm makes his picks and tries to send them all after the draft along with other assets, etc. had the GM been hired earlier I think they had a better chance. But even Feigen was saying if anything happens its after the draft.

Before DMorey plays hopscotch up board again, and w/ many calls out, mock I've got going so far has Rox taking Leonard, Marshall, Harkless.

Really digging the "appreciation" threads right now. I would comment there but they have already been locked. Someone needs to do a lotto team Rockets appreciation thread if we actually manage to sign Howard.

I'd love to keep Scola if we can get Dwight. I think it's clear Lowry will be traded which, thanks to Gogi, doesn't bother me, and I've wanted Martin gone for a while now.

If we kept our core, I'd love seeing a starting lineup of:

    Goran Dragic
    Courtney Lee
    Chandler Parsons
    Luis Scola
    Dwight Howard

WHo effing cares about shocking the world? My only interest is in making the team better. Have you seen the Chad Ford's mock draft? If it plays out that way, ALL of the top swingman and center prospects are gone by 14th (Leonard, Ross, Zeller). Jumping 2 spots assures us we land one of those three. We can get either Leonard or Zeller with the 12th, and then probably grab Harkless with the 16th and Jeff Taylor with the 18th.
