Some people over here might be thinking checkers, while Morey got a chess game going on.

it actually makes it better considering if they didnt pick up the team options they would only be taking brockmans 1 million vs dalembert 6.5.. the benefit of this trade is that we create salary room while moving up 2 spots .. had we just bought out dalembert then we would have only created salary room .. so for 1 million additional salary space we have the 12th pick which is slightly more attractive than 14 esp if a team is interested in a zeller or someone who are being projected higher than 14

Brockman and Livingston have tradeable contracts. The unguaranteed deal of Lvingston's makes him tradeable before July 1st if another team is looking for a salary dump.

Not sure how excited I am about this. Dalembert was an interesting chip to have in the pocket - he was all but a loophole TE with his partially guaranteed deal. He could be very appealing to a team with a big contract to move that wanted cap savings in return.

    You know, like ORLANDO.

Was 14-->12 worth giving up that flexible chip?

I doubt Morey did it without seeing the next move down the line, so we'll see.

John McClain has just reported that the Rockets are interested in acquiring Dwight Howard.

I don't think anyone seriously thinks we've gotten a steal. I'm excited that we are active and doing something, rather than just sitting idle. Trading C-Bud, Sammy and #14, while picking up #12, #18 and at least one other trade chip in Leurer is better off than where we started. Now if we can flip any of that with our existing roster for a true star, that will be awesome.

Im surprised at those who don't understand morey is slowly tryng to creep into the top ten.... He probably needs a pick around 9 or 10 to convince a team like gs to finally trade down...

i think i'm giddy, cause this was way too funny.

lol @ some poster on realgm: The Rockets do a Roster over haul every 2 years. Their team never has any continuity. I think those nerds who run that team are just having fun trading players.

Whats the effect this trade has on the our salary cap situation? I think we're taking back less salary and I hear Livingston has a team option.

I like Brockman. The guy is an absolute workhorse, seems like the kind of players the Rockets tend to like to acquire.

You think morey is finished? A true chess player thinks five moves ahead. We are nowhere close to the endgame. Carry a fresh pair. It's going to get messy.
