Just a leverage tactic. Evans informed the team he doesn't want to play SF anymore. There is a lot of drama surrounding Tyreke in Sac and it is only going to get worse.

Team finds out that Morey wants one of their players. Team decides to change their mind and keep said player. Houston sad.

When I read this stuff, I have to laugh.

Ring Ring: Thank you for calling the Sacramento Kings. This is Bernice. How can I help you with your season ticket purchase today?

Tyreke: "Uhhhhh, I uhhhhh, need to talk to Petrie, you know uhhhhhhh."

Female: (Giggling) "Is that you Mr. Evans?"

Tyreke: "Uhhhhh, Yo. You know, uhhhhhh, Put me through to Petrie dish."

    Female: "Ok, Mr. Evans."

    Click-click

    Petrie: "Is this Tyreke?"

    Tyreke: "Uhhhhhhhh, mmmhhhmmmmm."

Petrie: "How can I help you today, Tyreke?"

Tyreke: "Uhhhhh, well you know uhhhhhh, I just wanted to inform yalls that I ain't wanting to play small forward. You know, uhhhhhh?"

    Petrie: "Pardon me?"

Tyreke: "Uhhhhh, I am informin yall that I don't wanna ummmm play no small forward no mo, man. You know uhhhhhhh? My whole mindset, you know uhhhh, is to dribble-drive man, mmmmm you know uhhhh, so I really don't uhhhhhhh, wanna be playing small forward, uhhhhhhhh, I'ma play da point guard position, you know uhhhhhhh?"

Petrie: "Well Tyreke, that's something that you will have to discuss with Coach Smart at training camp. I don't make those decisions."

Tyreke: "Uhhhhhhhhh, Awww man. Ya know, uhhhhhhhhh, Yalls giv'n me da runaround. Yo, wad's da coach's numba den, you know, uhhhhhhh, so I call him den?"

    -----------------------------------------------------------

I mean come on man. You mean to tell me a player is gonna inform the team what position he is going to play? What does he do? Write a letter and send it certified? Call up the GM? Call up the Coach while the coach is off on vaca or scouting some Euro prospect overseas?

Informing the team he don't wanna play SF no more? Utterly ridiculous.

    No wonder they can't win.

Tyreke is one of the absolute worst players in the NBA. Right down there with the Birdman and Lance Stephenson.

If I were Smart and Petrie, I'd inform him on the last day of training camp that we don't want him playing small forward either. And then I'd assign him to Reno, give him notice by email as he is standing at the counter to board the team charter for the first regular season game, and give him his flight info to Nevada so he has to run to the next terminal to keep from missing the flight, and then tell the coach there to not let him play a single minute the whole season.

I'll say it again. Tyreke is one of the absolute worst players in the NBA. Right down there with the Birdman and Lance Stephenson.

Please do it. Dumb or not, this is a player that will get you 20 ppg while still playing decent defense. Unlike Kmart.

Eric Gordon or tyreke Evans? Which would you rather have?

Evans: ball handing skills, good at taking it to the basket, not a great shooter
Gordon: can shoot and take to the basket, undersized, injury prone

It's a toss up for me but if I had to choose it would be Evans just because his flaws are correctable

Any Rockets trades going down today?

    Chad Ford (2:26 PM)

We're waiting. They are talking to everyone. Lots of interest, but haven't been able to seal the deal yet. I think the Kings at No. 5 is the most realistic, especially if MKG goes 4. But don't believe the bogus reports that this is some larger deal with Tyreke Evans and Kyle Lowry ... This would be 14, 16, 18 and perhaps one other young prospect from Rockets roster.[/rquoter]

If we could get the 5th pick for Patrick Patterson, 14, 16 and 18.

    That would be great.

Yeah it seems like a bit much to me. If MKG and Robinson are off the board for them, there’s no one left that’s an amazing fit...Barnes is just incredibly overrated to me. I think two of those picks and Patrick is enough.

Morey is totally that guy in your fantasy league who drafts eight PGs, then extorts you into overpaying via trade for them. Or is that Kahn?
