@BooBysWorld1: Tough day for the League to see KG hang Em up. One of the Greatest to Ever do it. #Salute!

Haven't seen anything else about it but Brian Windhorst just retweeted that. If its true, good call by Garnett to end on top and not wait for his body to break down. Thoughts?

I'll be stunned if he retires. Still has good basketball in him and can still get paid. He will sign on somewhere where he thinks he can win a title next year. Wouldn't be surprised to see him sign with the Heat for the exception.

I'm expecting a 2-3 year deal at smallish money to stay in Boston. But I think there are decent odds he does elect to hang them up. He's made his cash, and the Celtics aren't getting any better next year without Ray Allen.

if bill simmons is to be believed, kg and pierce seem to dislike lebron quite a bit. can't see him signing with the heat no matter how much he might want another ring.

also hard to see him retiring. as maniacally competitive as he is, what would he channel it all into if he retired?

Not certainly, but I think with the right draft picks and FA signings, they could be better than last year. Having two 1st rounders provides a lot of depth if done right, which answers their main problem, which was depth last year. Avery Bradley and maybe Jeff Green will be back and more experienced. Also don't forget the 2nd pick in the 2nd round they just got from OKC. Morey would destroy the draft board with that pick.

Nah. Dude'll play two more years.

Easily the NBA's biggest douche but in his prime one of its best and still has something left in the tank.

In a game about 10 years ago, Twolves against Rockets. Only time I've seen him live. The guy was the coach on the floor: Move here. Do that. Watch him! Close out. And I'm talking, The. Whole. Game.

Even a little slower and creakier, he makes teammates accountable.

Hopefully this retirement thing is a bogus rumor.

I don't know about this. He would fit really well on OKC too.

If OKC allows Ibaka to leave, they could throw money at Harden, and sign KG for the vet min.

    Westbrook / Sefo / KD / KG / Perkins

and they wouldn't miss a beat. But if OKC manages to keep both Harden and Ibaka AND sign KG:

    Westbrook / Maynor / Fisher
    Sefolosha / Harden
    Durant
    Ibaka / Collison
    Garnett / Perkins

Really solid, though I forget their bench SF...

QUESTION: If we rent Dwight for 1 yr . . .would you put KG as his side kick for the right price?
