MJ and Bobcat fans will be watching intently for Detroits failures every game. Like Rockets fans were "rooting for" their NYK pick.
Ben Gordon's career is fascinating to me. Very solid player who was on the rise and then sold out for the money to go to Detroit. And now gets traded to possibly the only worse situation than Detroit (minus having to live there), Charlotte.
The Bulls and Pistons were effectively the same squad when Gordon left as a FA. The only way he sold out was by not taking a deep discount to sign with an obvious competitor. He took more money to sign with a team in effectively the same position. Seems like an easy decision on his part.
More like stupid trade for Detroit. Maggette is old, Gordon is a good 6th man AND they get a protected 1st round pick. MJ clearly made the best decision of his tenure as owner when he hired Rich Cho to manage his team, rather than doing it himself and messing it up.
This. Gordon would've been perfect for any contender... it's too bad his contract is so large it'd be hard to budget him in. Maggette is washed up and this frees up minutes for Gerald Henderson who looks promising and whoever they may draft if they do decide to pick a 2 or 3.
