Sure, saying Lowry would have most likeley been traded if Goran was already under contract. Saying, the three pics aren't enough for Orlando so trying to get more pics. Kyle Lowry not wanting to play with McHale anymore. Shopping Kevin Martin with Minnesota. Nothing really new but what the hell.
That's ridiculous. We were already planning to trade lots of pieces for a potential one year rental, and now we're going to gut the team even further? Not worth it, imo.
Did Aldridge say Lowry would have more likely been dealt if we had Dragic under contract? Don't know about that one. Maybe. Doubt it. Morey's just looking for the best deal. If other teams try to lowball him, knowing our PG situation (maybe thinking they'll go after Goran), then he'll wait til the right deal comes along.
Not really. Partially-guaranteed contracts (Miller, Webster).... Michael Buzzingly...er, Beasley (if there's a 3rd team involved; but this gets complicated with RFA situations and all that) Derrick Williams? Okay, but mainly to get another team's top 10 pick.
...that doesn't really matter. I doubt anyone else can offer them a better package of picks + decent value vets.
I'm still on the Kyle Bandwagon. I don't think you find guards that play his style too often. He's a unqiue brand. I don't like how Houston treats its investments. Kyle was the man before Mcfail was brought it. We rewarded Kyle's fight and dedication with a contract, and because Goran played well, we're looking to dump Kyle like he's nothing. Not thrilled about that.
Next to Parsons and Martin, Lowry is our most tradeable player. And the FO isn't looking to dump like he's nothing: it's not as if we're dealing Lowry for a bag of chips and a half-eaten candy bar.
We aren't looking to dumb Kyle because of Dragic. The Rockets fully wanted to bring both of them back. Lowry is the one who forced the hand in shopping him around by saying he doesn't want to play here unless something changes coaching wise, and especially not if Dragic comes back.
