No, because nothing happens overnight, the GMs go to sleep - so should you.

Sleep is important. A dude in China died the other day because he stayed away for like 6 straight days to watch the Euro Cup soccer tourney.... He went home took a shower went to sleep and died.....

    ..... sleep is important.

...so many of these larger trade acquisitions are based on the teams involved getting the option of drafting the players they want. That's why you will see nothing major until during the draft because the trading teams see more value in the players then the picks. It just takes one team to do something unexpected to ruin a perfectly good trade proposal that was conditional on player X being their with pick y.

With so many high lotto teams willing to negotiate, I think Houston has a chance to more or less play the draft in a way that suits them. They probably have a decent idea by now of the cost these teams have put on the picks and maybe even a decent idea of who those teams are targeting by where they want to move in the draft. Where it's going to get crazy is when other teams make move's that upset that draft order and unexpectedly change the strategy for expecting players to come off the board similar to when Portland moved in and stole Brandon Roy from Houston one pick before they were going to trade up to get him.

The war rooms are going to be a mess on draft night this year...

The point that YOU become aware of something is YOUR reality. The surprise is the same if you become aware in real time or your own shifted time.

I figured that out this playoff season. I could DVR the second half of the late games and watch them at 6:30 the next morning before finding out who won and it was just like real time, just with coffee instead of beer.

Most of the time the big deals happen during the draft and one of ESPN's people announces it since Stern likes to pretend like trades don't happen for some reason.
