this makes more sense than going after williams. Gordon can be a top 5 SG in the NBA, and while Williams is a top 5 PG, he will cost a lot more money, is a lot older, and plays at a position we are already stacked at.

It would be sad to see Lee go, though. I can't see him being happy about returning to the team if he's a bench player, so I don't see the Rockets pursuing both him and Gordon.

Exactly!!! All this talk about players with injury history is making me nauseous...

The years of 111 were heartbreaking. I sure hope we do not go down that path.

Please keep the high picks and use them!!!

i'd rather go for Granger and keep Lee.
if Lowry+14+16 for Evans+5 come true, package Evans with Parsons for Granger.

It is highly risky to work with a team that has the power to veto any done deal with "basketball reasons".

They need a young PF as well. Swap out Parsons for Morris/Patterson.

    Perhaps but what's the alternative?

Standing pat with a team full of role players?

All that gets you is what Houston already has: a team that hovers around .500 and hopes to get lucky enough to be the 8th seed.

Houston needs to take a big risk. If it works out, all with be happy.

If it don't, at least they tried hard. Then the organization and fan base must resign themselves to blowing up the squad
and starting over by being awful for 2 or 3 years and rebuilding with early lottery picks, like the OKC Thunder did.

Doing it that way is a gamble too but so is most things worthwhile in life...

As some of you other folks, I just can't see a scenario in which the Hornets don't match an offer-sheet for Gordon.

So to me, this is either a smoke screen of some sort (I like Carl's "dismiss the D-Will rumors to keep Goran happy theory") or maybe the Rockets are willing to sign and trade for Gordon and are confident that they have the right pieces to get it done.

Personally I'd prefer Williams/Lee to Dragic/Gordon, as stated in this thread, though obviously I'd be happy if the Rockets somehow end up with either one of these backcourt duos.

Gordon can ball and he would stay unlike Howard maybe but we would better off with dwill and Dwight and not Gordon and Howard
