Word is, this movie is not panning out as well as people have hopped...Nolan should of stopped after The Dark Knight. Critics are saying it will be a huge letdown for many fans of Nolan's previous works.
It's easy to say that now. I don't blame them for making a 3rd Batman movie. But having such a tough act to follow makes disappointment more likely. OT: On the other hand, re-booting Spider-Man so soon (or at all) was a dumb idea.
word is, this movie will make a killing at the box office so me thinks nolan will give zero f**** about if it disappoints.
Ya, im just not feeling all the hype around this. So many characters gone, the best actor of the main villain/character from the previous movie, but then again... Nolan has never let us down before.
On top of Nolan's merit, Heath Ledger's performance and tragic destiny elevated the movie to Hakeem status. I am mentally prepared, my hope is for it to end up like this: TDK>TDKR>BB, I would be a happy man with that.
What critics? It hasn't been shown to profession critics yet. I don't even think the movie is finished yet.
that's impossible because Batman Begins was a better movie than TDK. i think TDK hype skews a lot of people's views.
I don't know about it being better than TDK, but Batman Begins was totally awesome and gets overlooked. IMO, it is the most underrated superhero movie by a mile.
What's really possible is that it's only in your opinion. I re-watched BB last weekend and the TDK is still pending, but my comparison right now is that both are really good realized projects, main difference being that the latter was a more ambitious one, and for that I give it the edge by a good margin.
I'm probably in the minority but Begins is my favorite compared to TDK. Its just a great origins story.
Erick Weber @ErickWeber How insane is the interest level in 'The Dark Knight Rises'? The press screening is limited to ONE seat - unheard of. https://twitter.com/ErickWeber/status/217999503951802368 I've now heard from two people who have seen The Dark Knight Rises. Both of them loved it even more than TDK (something i wasn't expecting to hear) https://twitter.com/slashfilm/status/218116739127443456 https://twitter.com/slashfilm/status/218116828088647680 It Begins
