Does everybody think Houston is like Montana or something like why is everyone so against coming to the 4th largest city in 'merica!
If miraculously we do end up with howard i don't see deron signing with the Mavs. It will either be hou or brooklyn. The mavs have nothing to offer him. Old aging team that is not championship contender. With the Rockets he would have a legit shot at the championship immediately.
More like everyone is trying to scare the rockets into not trading for Howard. No Williams means Howard won't sign extension.
it's all because of the truck: <img src="http://sports.cbsimg.net/images/nba/photogallery/deronbkn.jpeg" width=600/>
Its the Rockets factor. It effects all other teams now. What they do matters. Their agents are not good. Houston would be huge for Derons and Dwights career to team up here. You could argue it was for Tmac and Yao until they got injured every year.
It's the arms race and maury just placed his missle on an island close by. now every douchie player, general manager, groupies, entourages, douchie media characters are all in fear. fear the maury!
Houston isn't a remote outpost like some other cities, but it's nothing special to most NBA players I would guess. Houston is in the same boat as 80% of all NBA cities. It's not LA, NY, Chicago, Miami, or Boston. I've lived in Houston most of my life, and my feelings aren't hurt. It is what it is.
Stars want to play with each other. Just look at the super friends in Miami. Howard would still leave unless that team wins a championship which they would not. I don't see Dwight giving 100% and re-singing unless Williams takes less money (still the max) to sign here. I feel like stars don't want to play here because of what people tell them about Houston. They don't actually judge the city themselves. People in Orlando and NJ probably have nothing good to say about Houston.
4th largest doesn't mean fun. there's nothing to do here lol. i mean yea you can go midtown and the other places around the city, but it doesn't compare to LA, NYC. we're still better than San Antonio and arguably better than Dallas.
