From the best Minnesota sports blog: http://firejerrykill.com/2012/06/26/timberwolves-move-laterally-again/
Maybe it was a little early for the T-Wolves as I personally think they could keep adding young talent and see who rises to the challenge, but it's hard to say who they would get at 18 and they at least know what they're getting in Chase. I love the trade for the Rockets -- they could get someone with a potentially high ceiling there -- and it did surprise me that the T-Wolves would do this deal, but Minnesota is going for the playoffs this year and in Chase they know they're getting a guy who can run with Rubio and knock down long-range shots.
Good move for both teams. 18# isn't too much to give for Bud imo....most players u draft at 18# turn out worse than Bud. This frees up a spot for Morris next year.
Twolves fans are already one step closer to the noose because of the weather - everything is doom and gloom to them. I think they'll be pleasantly surprised, if he gets PT, which with the way Adelman feels about Beasley, may be more than we think.
Not really. I understand it's not a "sexy move" but if you're upset about that move you don't know too much about basketball. Maybe it's because a day ago Martin was the one being associated with the trade but that wasn't going to happen. They got a solid role player for an iffy pick.
you and i both know they're not going to use that pick. i have way too many posts here and a website under your design to have not bought you a beer yet. when will that happen?
It ain't no Franklin BBQ! http://www.bonappetit.com/magazine/...lin-barbecue-best-restaurant-in-america#intro
Damn you, Tinman. -Topfive, currently residing in Seattle, which has neither good BBQ or NBA basketball
Morris will not leave the bench very often even if he is still on the Rockets' roster. Morris is just not a first string player.
eventually bud will be a fan fave. He will come off the bench and provide the fuhrer with some covering fire..12 ppg is very reasonable. And not being funny here, but his defense got progressively better as the season went on. He can go from hideous defender to..."he look ok". I'll say it again, excellent trade for the t wolves and maury.
I think it's a good move for the Rockets, and not a bad move by Min, in that they are getting a player who in my opinion, is better than the usual #18. I don't know the ins and outs of their team, needs, options, etc (except what I read in the above link), but I agree that they will be pleasantly surprised. Chase is a pretty decent player, and I think he'll be a solid starter for them. He can light it up when he's on, and he has a balanced overall game. Also glad we're opening up the 3 spot on our own team....let's find out if Morris is gonna rise to the challenge, or fizzle.
