Or just the two guard. He's not a capable PG.

Have to agree with this. Kevin likely on the way out in another deal if this happens, sliding tyreke to the 2

You are undervaluing Lowry too much. He is better than Tyreke and he is actually a point guard.

We should add Patrick to the deal so he can keep Cousins in line...

I see your DA tweet and raise you one Chad Ford mention:

The Blazers, Warriors, Raptors and Hornets also are looking at various options with their picks. I think the Blazers at No. 6 or No. 11 are the likeliest of that bunch to make a trade. They have interest in Jazz forward Paul Millsap and Rockets guard Kyle Lowry.

Better than Tyreke? Ehh... that's not what Sacramento obviously thinks.
Although Lowry has to have some stock with the other GMs in the league, he was hyped up to be an all-star before his injury.

The deal would probably be Lowry, 14th, 16th for the 5th instead of including Tyreke and possibly some fillers if the salaries don't match.

It's debateable who is a better player between Lowry and Tyreke. But #5 >>>>>> 14+16. Let's keep that in mind.

That's why I think David Aldridge's tweet about Kings not going to do the trade as rumored may actually have legs.

The thing with Motiejunas (and really the same goes for Parsons and Patterson) is that while he might be expendable, he's young and maybe even more importantly cheap, which is nice for roster-building purposes.
Also, unlike with Patterson and Parsons, with Motiejunas there's quite some upside. Of course there's no given he'll be more than a decent role player, but he might be, which is why you'd like to avoid trading him, unless you absolutely have to (in order to get a [big] deal done). For all we know D-Mo might end up being the perfect PF to pair Howard with.

I strongly disagree with the notion that we should trade D-Mo and not hesitate, because he won't help us next year. You just won't be successful doing business that way IMO.
Developing talent from within is key and to me the reward with Motiejunas far outweighs whatever value you may get for him in a trade (unless a team absolutely loves him).
Now, the Kings may like Motiejunas, but I sure have my doubts they value him so high that a deal would depend on his inclusion.

I think the Rockets will try to avoid trading D-Mo, Patterson and Parsons and instead offer some of our older/more expensive players and/or the Mavs pick and perhaps some kind of other sweetener.

Who knows what Sacramento really thinks at this point with all this conflicting info...but that rumored deal seems within the realm of possibility.

Do you think Lowry is better than Tyreke? For me he is at this point. Tyreke certainly has the potential to get better, but as things stand he is a bad shooter who doesn't seem to fit into an offense.

Well said, but I think if they were to offer Tyreke for D-Mo we would have to jump all over it.

Nope, we hold onto D-Mo, do not want Evans for him.

    From DE Mock Draft 4

Trading the pick to a team like Houston (or someone else) as part of a deal involving Kyle Lowry, Tyreke Evans and the #14 and #16 picks appears to be a very real option according to numerous NBA executives, but Sacramento reportedly hoping to find a better alternative and has stalled on pulling the trigger. If Houston were to trade up, it appears that Andre Drummond would be the target, which could cause Harrison Barnes to fall as far as Toronto's pick.
