Me too. I hope that Morey goes even harder after Howard and D-Will now.

Yes, but my point is that if Dwight purposely tanks the next season for us it will royally suck.

Anyway, I'm in the camp that says call their bluff and make them screw themselves out of millions if they aren't bluffing.

@clutchfans I would agree. Easy to put that message out now.

after clutch said that he would see houston in a different light after we got howard.

Honestly, I think this is where the back injury works in our favor. Dwight needs to play well next season to have the options he wants. If he's coming off major back surgery and tanks a season, making him 1.5 years removed from superstar play... that's seriously going to dampen his leverage. And really, that's the only thing we know he craves. I'd call their bluff, too.

Yes. Ready to break these stars.

If you want to select your own team, go to free agency and give up some money to control your location.

He responded to me as well, agreeing that it very well "could be" a bluff. Reporters like Amick are just doing their jobs and relaying what they're told. They know it's not necessarily accurate. Don't take it as gospel.

I would love for that to happen... but time and time again they have said where they want to go, and I don't see that changing. If Dwight didnt want Brooklyn, he would have signed in Orlando already.

I have faith that we don't need ONE SEASON of Dwight Howard in order to build a contender. Us the assets we have to make trades for someone who wants to be here (josh smith) or move up in the draft and build for the future WITHOUT taking a major step back.

Morey can't help it if there is always a guy who's got a little bigger package to take the prom queen home. He's only got what he's got.

haha... definitely shocked me when my phone buzzed and I had a reply from Sam Amick. In all seriousness, he seems to know his stuff.

If Dwight wanted Brooklyn, he'd be a FA right now about to sign the Nets offer sheet when FA starts. Sometimes, there are more important things in life than being in a cool town.
