I was only saying that it takes me out of the movie for that short period of time if it looks cheesy, sort of like bad cgi takes you out of a movie.

I'm looking forward to this movie more than any movie in a long time, just b/c someone believes Nolan can improve on things doesn't mean they are haters..geez. I'm the last person to think is a Nolan or Batman hater.

Are you actually noticing it in the trailer or are you noticing it in a slowed down gif that edits the fight out of sequence and is on repeat which makes the fact that this is a movie and that they are actors who aren't actually punching each other become more obvious?

Yep, it's totally noticeable in the trailer, when Batman swings at Bane and Bane ducks it and turns around does this jump and punch in the air while batman punches the air also. It just looks silly.

But, enough of this. The rest of the movie will be amazing enough to make the small faults forgivable.

I'm sorry, but I really find that hard to believe. Nolan's fight scenes use such quick cuts I'd be really surprised that you could pick that out without seeing it a hundred times (like these trailers) and/or slowing it down. In other words; I'm saying you've watched these trailers too much.

This is about the only thing I don't like about Nolen is he doesn't seem like a good director for fight scenes. In all of the Batman movies the fights scenes always seem unclear and clunky. The final fight in TDK was the weakest part of the movie to me.

That is a testament to how good Nolen is otherwise that in an action movie the fight scenes don't bog down the movie. That said I wish he would bring in someone to help with choreographing and shooting better fights.

I'm sure Donnie Yen would do it.

That's the problem with some fanboys who keep on denying it. Nolan movies are great but what he's missing are the top notch actions. He needs an action choreographer or a better action editor. I'm not taking anything away from him as a director but it would be nice to have a great action on top of it all. I mean you see James Cameron, Ridley and Spielberg to name a few who gives you good story and great actions. This is a Batman movie so at least give Batman some kick ass actions. His actions are that boring it just stood out like a sore thumb.

It's not about whether the fight scenes are good or bad, it's that they don't matter and us normal folk who don't have WWF and Steven Segal posters hanging in our bedrooms. They're non-factors. Does the action carry weight in the comics? No, they're still pictures. It's the story and characters that drive everything. If Nolan makes a crap movie I'd be the first to call him out for it.

Early reviews are starting to trickle in and they're not good -- the awkward sex scene between Batman and Catwoman in their suits/ uniforms is catching the most flack.

Can't be any worse than Maggie Gyllenhaal replacing Katie Holmes.

I have a feeling a lot of fans are expecting the second coming and will be disappointed... so guess it's safe to assume it might not be able to top the bar set by DKR, but if it reaches it or comes close, I'll be plenty happy.
