Morey --> Morrey --> Moray --> Murray --> Maury --> Mury/Muray/Murry/Maurry/Morray/... Just highlighting the deevolution that we all celebrate here.
EXTREMELY short sighted post. Who do we replace him with? One of the TNT crew? Morey has hit on a majority of his trades and has drafted better than average. The best GMs combine luck with skill (Presti, Ainge, etc). Morey has the skill, the luck will come. Success is cultivated with patience as well as ability.
I dont know why there is so many Morey haters. He has kept us in striking distance of possible trades and competitive at te same time. I understand that people here are frustrated with the team being mediocre, but just imagine how horrible tanking would be. Give me a fun competitive team over the Bobcats any day.
I'm a huge Murry fan, but at this point I liken him to a singles hitter in baseball. He's Rod Carew or Matty Alou; nearly every swing produces something of worth that moves the team incrementally forward, but rarely do the moves make the Rockets SUBSTANTIALLY better. He's all singles and doubles. Then every once in a while he hits one to the warning track and we all hold our breath for a minute before the ball finally settles into the outfielder's (or David Stern's) glove. I'm still waiting for a home run, much less a grand slam.
What's the point of getting to second base everytime . . . when you have no one on base and the third out comes right behind you . . . . Interesting but still a 0 on the score board Rocket River but but but . . . <insert Excuse for Morey-iak>
To add on to your comment…Success/luck is when preparation meets opportunity. Muary has been preparing for success by acquiring the pieces necessary to make the big move once the opportunity presented itself. It’s like poker…you can’t play every hand or you run out of resources (assets in Mury’s case). (Mauary Hater) “He hasn’t played any hands!”
