I don't want Dwight. He's been such an douchebag baby over the last year or so. I don't want guys like that in Houston.

Even if he leaves this is the perfect way to stop the ongoing mediocrity going on for the team

I don't think "rental" is the right word here. Rental implies you just use an asset and have no equity left once you no longer have the use of the asset. If they get Howard and he bolts after a year, it'll be through a sign and trade since it's clear Howard wants the extra years/money. This means even if Howard leaves, we're trading with someone to get someone significant. To get value, you need to give value. And giving up Howard would give us a chance at a veritable superstar. This is the ladder up the value chain and the only way for us to move up is to take advantage of a superstar that is about to bolt another team or to rebuild through the draft. In any case, flipping these decent, but not great assets into picks is a great move either way.

AlexKennedyNBA Deron Williams had narrowed down his list to Brooklyn and Dallas. However, if Dwight Howard is traded to Houston, everything changes. 2 minutes ago

IMO we will chase Dwight till the last minute and lose out on all the deals that we can pull, only to get screwed by some other team at the last minute. I really hope this time Morey can pull off something big, rather than BEING CLOSE.

Isn't Courtney Lee Dwight Howard's best friend?

The Rockets are still very popular in China.. alot of our players get shoe endorsement deals from Peak which is a chinese shoe company. Dwight would instantly become a favorite in china..

I think me and 100 others have been saying this for months...it doesnt matter if he wants to come here. If we trade and get him...and then sign d will...and or miraculously acquire josh smith...then that changes everything.

Anyone on here can tell me if we have a starting line up of

    Dwill
    Lee
    Parsons
    Smith
    Howard

That there is any chance howard leaves?

That team is designed to destroy the miami heat.

If the Rockets get Dwight, Deron is a lock.

For the longest time, I have always had Morey's back and blindly trusted in what he was trying to do because he usually does the fleecing....

In this case.....screw this....if he does this deal...HE IS GETTING FLEECED.

I wont feel anything at all the second dude gets fired or quits...

This move will bring about one of the above two....

You are giving up all that for a dude who is straight up saying he isnt even going to consider staying????

    Coming off back surgery???

    smh

Just to rent him for one season?

    ROCKETS.....you do this.....YOU LOSE.

That's another point to remember. I find it hard to believe there is zero percent chance Dwight stays in Houston if he is traded here.

Alex Kennedy's opinions, at least ones he posts on twitter, are 90% worthless. The other 10% are opinions he copied from someone else. I don't know why people keep posting his tweets when he never says anything that hasn't been reported or just came out of his ass.
