Facts are facts some have convicted him on here already and with good reason for some not all.But the bottom line still remains that if Zimmerman hadn't followed him from the start no one would be convicting him.
I have no doubt that TM's trek to the market and back was completely innocent. That being said, I have no doubt that he brought some of this on himself but he didn't deserve to die. When he and GZ first confronted one another, why not just show GZ the tea and Skittles to explain yourself. There is no report of this yet it is used as defense of TM. Nor do I think that GZ intended to kill him. It's just one of those tragedies that unfolds too fast to be prevented. Both guys made regrettable decisions-- GZ moreso. But does that make him guilty of Murder II?
I'm not 100% convinced of this. Trayvon had mar1juana in his system, a lighter and $41 cash in his pocket. It's not inconceivable that he was out looking to buy and/or smoke drugs. That could explain his violent reaction to GZ (according to GZ's story) as well as why he was walking slowly in the rain (according to GZ).
If you believe that someone who has just smoked pot would be violent afterwards, then you are just plain stupid. What's the worst thing that could happen to you if you run into a crazed pothead? You might get fleas, but that's about it... -Will Durst
And I know when I go out searching for mar1juana, I make sure I a) have a lighter in my pocket, b) exactly $41 and c) I walk really slowly down the street in the rain so people know I'm a serious buyer!
Again with making up stories based on no relevant evidence. I think it's just as likely that GZ who, unlike TM, had past run-ins with the police and was familiar with being on the wrong side of the law was out with his gun, looking to trick someone into a drug deal. We know that GZ was on drugs who's side effects include possible violent behavior and mood swings. So I'm not convinced that he wasn't out looking to get into a violent confrontation. GZ then initiated one with TM, but was losing, and brought out his gun. GZ was hoping to be able to use that weapon on a person ever since he got it.
You're right. It's a much better idea to just attack that concerned/curious man and hope he isn't armed and will use that armor to defend himself. That's a winner! Being hot-headed is always the better option.... JUST SAY NO to common sense.
He was in a gated community that he didn't live in and was acting suspiciously according to the Captain of the Watch Patrol. TM got reported to the Police. TM should have been civil and told the cop if he thought GZ was harassing him.
Detective faulted George Zimmerman for not avoiding confrontation with Trayvon Martin By Jason Sickles http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/lookout...avoiding-confrontation-trayvon-192523670.html Neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman missed two opportunities to try and peacefully approach Trayvon Martin before he fatally shot the unarmed teenager, according to an investigator's report released Tuesday. "The encounter between George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin was ultimately avoidable by Zimmerman, if Zimmerman had remained in his vehicle and awaited the arrival of law enforcement, or conversely if he had identified himself to Martin as a concerned citizen and initiated dialog in an effort to dispel each party's concern," Investigator Chris Serino wrote in an arrest warrant affidavit. The affidavit was filed more than two weeks after the shooting when the Sanford Police Department was being criticized for not having arrested Zimmerman. Serino's March 13 affidavit recommended Zimmerman be picked up for manslaughter, but a special prosecutor assigned to take over the case upped the charge to second-degree murder. Zimmerman, 28, maintains he feared for his life and shot Martin in self-defense under Florida's "stand your ground law." He said he fired the fatal shot only after being ambushed and brutally attacked by the 17-year-old. The deadly encounter occurred in a gated Sanford, Fla., neighborhood where Zimmerman lived and Martin was staying with a family friend. Zimmerman initially called 911 to report Martin as a suspicious person walking through the area. In the report released Tuesday, police say Zimmerman contradicted himself by saying that he was initially fearful of Martin but later got out of his vehicle and followed after the teen. "His actions are inconsistent with those of a person who has stated he was in fear of another subject," Serino wrote. The Orlando Sentinel reported Tuesday afternoon that Serino, Sanford's lead detective on the case, has been granted a request to move from detective to patrol duty.
How so? Surely you aren't trying to say that defending yourself from the ground up is being hot-headed? What do you mean to say?
He's saying that GZ is trying to save his own ass from his own F up and that he's a liar. Well, that's what I'm saying. As usual, you're willing to believe any number of completely illogical things to pollyanna your way to believing what you want to believe.
All you have is conjecture.... your own. And that's not at all what RM95 is saying. He's accusing me of holding the two principals to different standards but, as usual, you just twist whatever you want whatever way you want and try to gloat about it...
