You are obviously under no obligation to comment on this. I would have been genuinely interested in your take, but ok.

I understand if you want to avoid getting yourself in trouble with either your dictatorial employer or your Islamist friends.

I feel that they are two different things. Countries like UAE and Qatar allow people to visit, enjoy and do their thing. Their residents (women and men) can live a normal life without the GOVT interfering in everything.

The US hasn't exactly been the role model for human rights either, DD. Come on. Your ethnocentric bias is mad prevalent.

I'm curious what you think you've added to the conversation.

A handful of people aren't happy with the political structure in the UAE. Guess what? A lot more people in Syria are unhappy with the political structure there, and are dying for it. Why haven't you made a thread about that? The situation there is much more critical and serious than the UAE. Is it because it's Muslims killing other Muslims over politics and not Islam, therefore not giving you the opportunity to bash religion through generalizations?

The UAE is detaining people who are linked to a particular group and not letting their whereabouts be known. America has been doing that for over a decade.

There are threads on Syria, and I did comment on them. I don't know of any very active posters on this forum who happen to work for the government of Syria, though - thought it would be interesting to hear from a very active poster of this subforum who works for the UAE government.

That's what the article says. Perhaps Mathloom could have given us an insider's perspective and could have denied/confirmed that this is true? Looks like we won't get that.

This is your typical response to any discussion.

    You are a joke.

I never said the US was perfect, it clearly is not, but it is by far a better system than the UAE's or any other religiously controlled dictatorship.

Don't be angry. We have three picks in the draft and might make a big trade.

Take a deep breath and relax.

Far more posters laugh at you and ATW and your incessant trolling of the D&D. There's a reason both you posters are never taken seriously in this section, and that solely rests on the rhetoric you engage in.

In the past 10 years America has violated the most basic principles of human rights on a far larger scale than what the UAE has done. The UAE is no where near perfect, but to critique them for the same problems we have in our own country is absurd.

Taken seriously? In the D&D, on an internet message board - LOL.

It's hilarious how front desk jerk thinks he can talk for others. Just because you say someone is not taken seriously does not mean that they are not taken seriously.

In fact, your word as someone who has shown - on the bbs and outside of it, in real life - that he acts like a disgusting jerk with no manners - holds extremely little weight.

Opinionated people always generate a lot of that from others. Seeing trends and things before the happen is not popular.

I have argued with enough people that they can not rise above an old argument - that is true - **** em.

Just going by what many other posters have generally said about you two. All I have to do is go into a thread created by you to see 5-7 different people who hold the same view. And then when you get faced with truths that are difficult to accept, you backpedal and resort to name calling, all just to divert attention from your inadequate reasoning.
How do you know how I act in real life? Do you stalk me?

I don't think anyone will disagree with your premise that extremist Islam should be countered by why do you continually troll? Why the photo? Why the childish insults? You could have simply left the above out of your OP.

I can name some of them:

Mathloom, adeelsiddiqui, Hydhypedplaya, trustme, and once in a while, the occasional "other" brainwashed Islamist (Pharaoh King or whatever), plus some leftists who, for some reason, think they should side with Islamists, although they would cry and scream to high heavens when a conservative Christian would utter anything remotely similar to Islamists' views on, e.g., homosexuality. Leftists like to call people bigots, even when all the person really does is point out bigotry.

Does that prove anything other than the fact that Islamists (and some leftists) get very angry when they are confronted with the truth (criticism of manifestations of their totalitarian ideology)?

    Nope.

Rest assured, there are many who completely agree with my criticisms of this totalitarian ideology.

And while some of you try to shout me down like these guys here because you are brainwashed kids just like them

there are many who encourage me not to let you guys shout me down.

It was with one of the articles. Probably like the editor of that article I thought that people don't like to just read text, but that pictures get attention ;).
