I mean I know that comes across as a zinger, but I take it as a compliment. The Rockets are a mediocre team. Why should the players feel they get to be here forever and not win anything?
Sorry to see you go Bud, but I'll gladly take this deal. Unless Morey has a real plan to get Howard to stay (DWill, and/or other stars), please don't use all these picks to rent Howard. If you want to rebuild, do it now!
I wonder what happens if the Magic decide they wont trade Dwight and if we have secured 2 top 8 picks. I wonder If we would go after the #2 pick at that point. This is possible right? The Bobcats are looking to deal it, and we would get a projected Elite player. Just a thought.
Only read the 1st 3 pages, so don't know if it's been discussed yet, but would the Rockets try to send this pick to the Nets to get rid of our lottery protected obligation to them?
The concern to me is how players across the league feel about him..what their impressions are of him compared to other GM's. I don't know for sure how they feel about him, but I think Chase's response MIGHT provide some insight into that. Not like it's the first time we've heard this.
Looks like Adelman finally going to have his all white starting 5. Looks like it is going to be an interesting draft day.
Everytime I bring up that the players feel that way, or that is the rep Morey has around the league the Ostriches come out of the sand and scream. DD
that is in no way a compliment. he didn't use us being a mediocre team as a qualifier for what he said about morey.
And 44th picks rarely get turnt into a 18th pick overall. Either we end up with Dwight, or some young studs to rebuild. I'd say it's a good move overall.
