You may be able to get #8 but I seriously doubt #5 for Lowry straight up. And if you can get #8 for Lowry straight up....then it would seem to me there has to be something more to the deal with Sacramento besides just #14, #16 for #5 straight up. We have to be eating a salary somehow. And if that is the case, it had better be a player that Orlando is willing to take on because if we are stuck with that salary, then the opportunity to sign DWill after trading for Dwight goes out the window without renouncing Goran.
I think i'm losing interest in obtaining Howard. I really don't want to enslave a player to play here. If he doesn't want to be here, I don't want him here. I'm really nervous about blowing our own opportunity to rebuild by trying to force a player to be here against his will, only to have him CALL OUR BLUFF, and leave us with nothing. It sounds like a recipe for drama and distraction all season long. I do not want to go through the Orlando circus next season.

Too good to be true. If it is, that's totally crazy. But I suspect if that trade is accurate that there is some sort of draft day trade commitment between Houston and Minny that goes beyond 18 and Bud.
I think they will. You might be able to get by with a 2nd round pick swap but I don't think you can give either away. Would you as a GM pay extra (more than just a salary) to take either one on (5 million for Patterson for 2 years or 4 million for Morris for 2 years) - meanwhile doing the other team a favor - all for free? Do you have need for soft 6-9 PF coming off an injury or a tweener PF/SF that can't get ANY PT because of 2 young 2nd rounders? Niether are the 2nd overall pick in a recent draft that was showing some signs of promise like Beasley was when he was traded. They don't even have TWill type of mystic because neither dominated the DLeague like Master Williams.
Twolves have no reason whatsoever to deal Peko. And you would add the 14th pick to get Ridnour? Come on, man.
