If Howard doesnt want to follow in Shaq's footsteps in LA, he probably doesnt want to follow Hakeem's either.

He's sure doing a lot of posturing and complaining and backstabbing to keep that extra $30 mil. If that wasnt in his agenda, he'da just walked last year instead of re-upping. Lots of baby mommas to take care of I guess.

The higher the pick, the better.

Unhappy? He doesn't know what he wants obviously. He's an immature child that thinks he can get what he wants. Reality check and gut check time. If Morey can get Deron over here Dwight has no excuse not to like it here because it would be a great team.

Unhappy because he has no help is not same as unhappy because he didn't get it his way.

    Odom Comparison

All of the people worried that Howard would dog it for a year and sulk and pout like Odom did last season for Dallas are forgetting something. Odom has a few more years left on his deal. Howard is going to be coming off back surgery in a contract year. He might be leaving a lot more than $30 million dollars on the table if it doesn't look like he's a max player any more. If he truly is worried about the money, he's going to be a player with a lot to prove, and may have his best year yet.

Even if he does come here and remain adamant that he's bolting after the season, I have to believe that Morey would be able to flip him for something of legit value at the trade deadline. Maybe the Lakers would be willing to roll the dice and send Bynum to Houston. Maybe Portland would be willing to part with whoever they pick up at 6 and 10 in this year's lottery to make a playoff run with Aldridge and Howard in the middle. Maybe Blake Griffin gets discussed again in trades for Howard. These might be long shots, but there are options out there.

I'm still on the fence about whether he's worth the risk with those two top 10 picks, but I still think we could salvage something for Howard at the deadline even if he chooses to take off for Brooklyn.

I wanted him before the drama and back injuries, but not anymore.
    It sounds like T-Mac again.
Tracy wanted to be here, but I don't think Howard does.

Let's, build through the draft and trade around the February deadline.

If we are able to get them, trust me, they will have no help here. Half the team will be gone to get them.

Exactly why it's naive to think there's 'no chance' that he re-signs with us.

I'll definitely do the trade in a heartbeat if he said that he's not sure but he's considering to play for the rockets. We can convince/talk to him. BUT he clearly stated that he doesn't want to be here.

Are you willing to go on a rockets basketball game knowing that your superstar is not willing to come back after the season? I'm not.

He's a rocket by uniform, his heart is somewhere else.

Seems like there are some people who've never played poker. This is an obvious bluff.

I don't know who is a sadder case at this point, Dwight Howard, Houston Rockets' management, or Clutch Fans. All three reek of foul desperation.

A question for the old-timers who were following the NBA in the 60s-80s period: did players let their feelings be known about teams they would and would not play for? To me, Dwight is a big pain who I really have no interest on rooting for. Same goes for Gasol and whoever cries about having to play in the 4th biggest city of the US, gets millions, is going to the focal point of the offense, marketed like crazy and a team with a great history with the bonus of being able to work out with Hakeem more often ;)
