If the Magic don't get a commitment from him now, they would be absolutely insane to not deal him. He tried to pull that BS at the deadline, and all that did was screw the nets over out of the #6 pick and possibly Williams. Brooklyn has lost all leverage in trading for Dwight, so he isn't going to be traded there and he should know that now.

I guess you believe the part where he claims he had nothing to do with Van Gundy's firing?

Wish Howard would stop acting like a B**** and a drama queen

I bet when he sees the fans he'll change his little tune. He seems like the type that gets influenced by his emotions.

Let Dream have a talk with him in front of his statue

If there were any chance of Dream convincing him to come here, he would have done it at last seasons deadline.

    What source?

Even if it's a genuine source, it's not necessarily the truth. Houston obviously isn't Dwight's first choice so he's going to try to leverage himself to where he wants to go. Doesn't mean he wouldn't sign extension when faced with the choice of losing millions of dollars. Especially after we make the playoffs (which we easily would with Howard at center).

I mean what would he have to lose by outright saying he doesn't want to play here? He's not a Rocket yet, he won't lose any fans. No reputation to be hurt. He could just say it if he didn't want it to happen, save us all the trouble. Instead, he's saving us for plan B in case plan A falls through it seems like.

let's stop this howard madness. he doesn't want to be here. Yes, we can make a sign and trade deal after the season, but it''s too risky. We might not get anything at all.

When he's traded here, his mindset is not about winning. He's just here because we want him here. I don't want to root for a guy who don't have a heart of a rocket.

Let's focus on rebuilding. OKC did, why can't we?

He clearly cares about his perception a la LeBron. He never wants to seem the bad guy.

Someone please let me know if we would have the cap space for D-Will if we traded for dwight and possibly Pau... Also how much space/money would C-Lee cost us, and could he also be back... C-Lee and Dwight are good friends btw..

He wouldn't appear a bad guy to most people (outside of Houston) if he said "No" to us. Even then, I don't think many Rocket fans will hate him if he rejects us now, than later if we give up assets to get him.

He's the 2nd best player in the game.

I'd rather take our chances convincing the 2nd best player in the game to sign, instead of taking our chances in the lottery.

It's like a kid who threatens to run away for a while until he comes home and his crap is in bags outside waiting for him. The shock comes in effect then he realizes that the situation isn't bad at all and he appreciates it.

That's Dwight. A douche Child that's about to get a wake up call. Hakeem will pick up the pieces and Hopefully the new Dwight emerges.

If Dwight wants to dog it and go to Brooklyn in 2013 then he'll leave his reputation in worse shape than Lebron's (post decision, pre ring) and $25 million on the table.

    Your move Big Fella.

Btw, would it make anybody laugh if Morey was doing all this trading up to get two picks for a trade with the Lakers to get Pau Gasol? I would LMAO if that happens.

Couldn't be more obvious. Why would any star want to play here?

Well here are more reports to further confuse things:

    Source:

This is getting ridiculous. I'm just gonna wait until Thursday and see what actually happens.

The second best player in the game does not want to play the game in Houston. He has said it through his people twice now.
