Lowry, Martin and Dalembert is everyone? We knew by late March that those three were likely to be traded. Let me know when they shop Parsons, Dragic and D-Mo.
I seriously like what you did with your bench, and it is looking like a real possibility. Would be hard to pass up those 4 for Dwight..... Not sure I'd do it, but I certainly see the merit in going all in for a top 5 talent. Very tough decision there.
Big IF they were about to rebuild... but with Alexander you know he will go for the Top 5 player instead of the Top 5 potential.
Maybe Morey would rather trade players for draft picks so he doesn't have to take on any bad contracts...Hedo's
I'm sure they could get pretty creative... still have Scola's deal, plus (potentially) Dalembert's friendly deal, but you're right in that Martin's is the least painful in that it's relatively large for salary-matching purposes and only for one more season. In this hypothetical MIN scenario, you'd also get a trade exception -- though I assume that isn't big enough to take Dwight and would/could be used for taking a second salary (Turkoglu or Richardson, for example). Bima could definitely talk more intelligently on this one than I could. You're right and they do, but I'm assuming the Rockets are going to want to keep some of that to try to lure Deron or sign another player.
If we're gonna trade with minny, why not try to snatch beasley? the dude was killin it when he was starting..given the opportunity here I feel like he can bring us some real offense
I guess... Why should we delay rebuilding if we can land 2 top ten picks and a total of 4 first rounders in a deep draft. We can rebuild now! The problem with landing Dwight is that if he leaves, we wont start rebuilding until 2014..... but at least Morey can force his hand now. I was kind of hoping Martin would stick around to play with Dwight, but doesn't look that way...
I think Dally's expiring 7mil but 1.5 buyout would work. But I think as it is the Rox are like 16 or so mil. under the cap. Dwight's salary is around 18 mil, and Scola or some other pieces could be moved. CH or Bima are the real cap experts here, I'm just going off of some of the stuff they've posted.
I honestly think C Lee compliments Dwight better. Very good defender, solid finisher and a real nice 3 point J. Especially when you compare the price.
Maybe Orlando would rather have Miller and Webster’s instant expirings more than Martin. Lowry and Patterson for the 5th… Martin for Miller, Webster, 18... 16 +18 for 10 (NOLA wanted 14 + 16 for 10 but we turned it down)… Then we trade Miller, Webster, Dalembert, 5, 10 for Dwight And use #14 for ourselves.
