I never really thought of you and I as being necessarily aligned (other than you being poster #19 and me being #20), but I’d have to say that those are my three favorite posters as well. I still rue the day I was rude to MadMax.

I'm even growing to sort of love ATW, bigtexxx and giddyup in a guilty pleasure kind of way. (bigtexxx's silly Obama posts notwithstanding.) heypartner back in the day. Jeff (bball, politics, music, really anything), Will (one of the very best at bball and the best at politics). Will was actually one of my favorite political writers not just here but anywhere and I read his column at slate.com religiously. Um. gifford1967, ChuckyBrownFanClub, RM95... Achebe. Smeg. I had a great time having beers with droxford in Chicago and I've had a great time meeting another 50 or so of you that have posted here, including Trader-Jorge. I know I'm leaving out some of my favorite posters. seriousblack and bigpetelikeiron are two of my favorite people in real life and they don't even know each other. The main point I'd make is that while I really hate like 10 people who post here -- and by that I mean I think they're bad people and I even hope bad things happen to them... Not super bad things, but like I hope they stub their toe right now, really badly, like when you think the pain will never end, and then five minutes later I hope they do it again, to the same toe -- but the main point is I love so many more posters here than I don't. The community that has developed here is very special. This is one of the first places I come at the start of the day to see what my e-friends have had to say since the prior day and it's the first place I post to ask for advice, about whatever. And it's basically my blog too since it's the only place on the internet where I post my opinions. On pretty much anything. And a lot of really cool people post here, or have, and I guess I've been here officially for 13 years though really it's 15. So I've found a lot of favorites in my time. And many, including Clutch, that I have met through this site I also consider friends IRL so it's really impossible for me to pick one favorite.
gotta give a shout out to the site's hardest working poster: tellitlikeitis. the astros' board gets limited traffic, so for the many of you who aren't familiar with him, the guy provides a detailed breakdown of every stros minor league affiliate's games condensed into one post every damn night.
I can think of quite a few people who are better than me in that regard.... most notably, #1 himself. The countless hours he manages to put in running this site while juggling real-world priorities at the same time dwarfs my contributions in the Astros section. By 10000000000000000000000x.
My favorite poster I haven't seen post much recently is rhester. He is an all around good guy who truly lives up to the values he preaches. Another poster who I never see anymore but liked a lot is akperez. Beautiful both on and off the board.
Gotta give a few props to some other posters. Weslinder who is a also a great guy both on and off the board. Krosfyah and GladiatorRowdy / Andymoon, dedicated rowdies who made me feel like a rowdy my one and only time seeing a game at TC. Hayesstreet and Grizzled, (both of whom also post infrequently) two good debaters and while I don't always agree with always appreciated that they brought rational and informed arguments.
