    Omg...

I'd have trouble giving that up. Even for Dwight.

Sacramento has not appeared to have a plan in place for some time now. They were unsuccesful in bringing any of the top six prospects in besides Drummond. This appears to be a place where a team could look to trade up (Houston perhaps) targeting Drummond or MKG. Their roster has talent, but lacks stability. Sacramento would not be a favorable destination for Andre Drummond. NBADraft.net

Houston appears to be targeting the 5th pick to move up for Andre Drummond. With Kyle Lowry's displeasure with head coach Kevin McHale, there is a good chance that the Rockets move him in a deal on draft day. The Rockets have 14 and 16 and are furiously trying to get a deal done to improve their picks. NBADraft.net

Even if the Sacramento deal included both 14 & 16 (as I would think it might), wouldn't a deal of Martin, Scola, #5 and #8 be a pretty good haul for Orlando? And this would not have any additional affect on the Rockets cap as the previous scenario.

the more orlando keeps dwight howard, they more games they will win. 5th and 8th picks would be a huge return for them, and id even give them the dallas pick if allowed under CBA rules.

really its not much. anyone would trade a no.5 and a no.8 to get a no.1 pick, and in this case, the no.1 pick is a top 5 player in the league who is literally unattainable any other way.

its like your boss offers you a 200% pay rise, and you are like, hmm does that mean I have to pay more taxes now??!!! oh no!!!!!! I would like to just take the 20% pay rise thanks and stay under the tax threshold.....

Yes it would be thedude that's the thing it's going to be draft night or never to get rid of d12 because our deal is going to give them the best return and if they refuse we get Drummond and rivers or Drummond and mkg or whoever else morey wants to pair with Drummond

It would definitely be tough to give up two draft picks like that, but it leads back to my original question of would you rather have MKG & Drummmond or Dwight and an extra $16M?

    Trade Parons, Morris, and Kyle

I would rather have MKG and Drummond honestly

MKG is 18, and Parsons will turn 24 later this year

My goodness, a starting 5 of Howard, Montiejunas, Parsons, CLee and Dragic. That's a very promsing team right there.

And Drummond and MKG are both 18 but after listening to mchale interview earlier I'm not sure he's to fond of having a team of 18 and 19 year olds like he said in the interview

I don't have a problem with the move, but why does it seems like the whole world know? When they traded the 3 picks for griffin, the francis trade, or the mcgrady trade, no one knew until it was a done deal. Everyone of these moves seem to get broadcast in 7.1 with morey. Is that because of social media or a p.r. spin machine? Maybe that's why they never work.

Just to get Jeremy Lamb's full quote in here:

It sounds worse when you only look at the first sentence.

I have two words for everyone that thinks Dwight will leave after one season " bird rights". He'll stay because we can pay him more than anyone else and don't underestimate the depth of Les pockets.

Twitter and faulty memory. Things definitely get out more quickly with social media, but the McGrady trade was reported to be "in discussions" for at least a week before it actually went down. Ton of drama. You don't know it's from the Houston side, either. Everyone has an agenda - if you're Sacramento, for example, it may benefit you to "leak" something like this to show you're serious about moving the pick.

PS: It wasn't the fault of social media that the Gasol trade (and Nene signing) didn't work.

PPS: I don't remember much, if anything, before the Martin and Artest deals - arguably the two most significant of Morey's tenure.

Maybe if Drummond hears all the critics it might light a fire in him to prove everybody wrong

Most likely the leak came from the Kings or Raptors side. There is no reason for the Rockets to want this info out there. Also, this is an organization that doesn't even have media in to interview prospects after any of the workouts so they don't exactly like to share.
