Moses Malone, a MVP, a player that dominated the boards and who could outrebound a team of 5 dennis rodmans Ralph Sampson, when he was healthy, he can play all 5 positions and run a fast break. Makes KG look like Rafer Alston Hakeem Olajuwon, the NBA elite MVPs and champions, LeBron and Kobe seek his help. The whole reason this place is called Clutchfans. Yao Ming, a guy who worked so hard to overcome cultural differences and become a dominant force in the middle while being the best ambassador of the NBA
The era of the Dominant Big is over. The game has been reformulated to be more guard-oriented than it was in the previous century. The idea of a defensive big man dominating the paint is finished. Defensive 3 seconds and allowing zone defenses was designed to make the game more guard oriented. All the top stars are now perimeter players who get to the hole. I like Howard, and think he would be a great pick-up for us. But he's not going to be a dominant offense players who can create his own shot. And he's not going to be a Moses, an Olajuwon, or a Yao Ming. He's not that kind of player. He's a straight up power player that can't be a go-to guy in crunch time. There isn't a center in the league that is right now.
Some of the heartbreak felt by fans of the Rockets organization was due to career derailing injuries suffered by the team's talented big men too. Dwight's back issues concern me.
