Yep! That's the reality clause in there.

Nope... we would need to throw in the 14 and/or 16 most likely...

Would probably need to increase on the pick front, but Morris, Budinger and Parsons should work.

There are still 9 other teams in the top ten.

I just don't see the Dwight thing happining and I hope Morey doesn't let the Deight dream get in the way of other realistic options out there.

If Toronto won't bite, send Kyle to Portland.

Just to be clear on this — because I have seen it posted a number of times — we probably would not be a lottery team for the 2013 draft (the first draft after Howard's departure), unless adding DH for the 2012-2013 season would somehow not be enough to let us sneak into the playoffs in the west. Since that 2013 pick would then go to the Nets, we would have no first round pick until the 2014 draft. If the Rockets do indeed play poorly enough after that to compete for draft picks with chronic losers like Charlotte (and that's a big IF), the 2014 pick might develop enough by 2015 or 2016 to provide some hope of better times to come.

To be honest, I'm a little worried about getting another guy that is just starting to have back issues, especially a player who's game is centered around his leaping ability.

I almost prefer the idea of going the OKC rout w/o having to suck so bad. We trade for the picks, then we are picking at 5 and 8, not our usual 14. You combine that with D-Mo and Dragic and you have a young group loaded with potential. Sure next year probably would not be the best, but we'd have a pretty high pick. The year after that is when I think you would get some real improvement!

    Agreed.

If Morey has a deal to get the #5 pick, do it. I sure hope he doesn't back off of that because Orlando suddenly says it won't be enough or won't do it.

Man, I don't know about trading Parson's for a potentially 1 year rental for Dwight. Parson's a core player to the Rox IMO.
