Dwight may make Kevin Martin relevant again.

    Dwight
    Scola
    Parsons
    Martin/Lee
    Dragic

That team is already much much better..now imagine if we sign dwill and make other moves as well.

Um ....No. I want him off the team ASAP. He's on a one-year deal. Unless you think we will be contending for a championship this year, I just don't understand how holding on to Martin would be a wise thing. Perhaps a trade-deadline move, but I really don't see how he finishes the season a rocket.

I'm all for rebuilding with young players. But Les Alexander wants to make money. He wants no part of rebuilding, and he wants his superstar(s) now. That's been part of the reason why a lot of posters here want a new owner.

LeBron and Bosh did not say they would follow Wade. But that takes a lot of planning to get those stars aligned. There had to have been a super friends agreement there that did not go public.

No one can ever say Dwight said he's staying where Deron is or vice versa. I'm not sure if it's against the rules or under the advisement of their agents, but NBA players don't publicly say they want to tag along with another star.

The reason there is a perception that Dwight wants to play with Deron is that he reportedly asked to be traded to the Nets at the trade deadline as well as this current offseason.

Best case scenario trading for Howard is that he signs an extension here. My understanding is that we are more flexible than most teams to build the team around him.

Worst case is that Howard leaves, and we're left with nothing but egg on our face because the two top-10 picks we traded are balling.

It's a risk, but a risk that this franchise needs to take to gain back relevance.

If we kept those two top-10 picks (if we do get them), and they both end up being busts, then how bad would that be. This draft is filled with projects. Most of the prizes of this draft are considered projects. The established ones are more role players in the NBA. Not necessarily a bad thing, but the Rockets have plenty of those.

    I'm excited

Atleast we are in the mix and taking action

Weather Howard wants to come or not. We want him and we are going after if.

Plus, gasol, Drummond, cousins all in the mix still.

    I am hoping for Cousins.

Would be sick and a dream if we get any two of the group and build a true superstar roster.

I really would like patpat and cousins together.

with Howard and Dragic maybe grab a FA to pair with are two stars and get Howard to stay. And I think Howard would groom and keep cousins in check.

Cousins is clear about who is idol is and who he looks up to and respects as a big man and that's Howard reason why he were #12

I don't care what it takes to get cousins Drummond Howard gasol.

As long as we can keep a few good pieces like pat pat Dragic Dmo lee

    Because Lopez sucks.

Ever wonder why Lopez and Deron Williams did nothing but lose together? Ever wonder why Avery Johnson has complained publicly that Lopez sucks at rebounding? In 35 minutes a night during his last full season he averaged 6 whole rebounds a year! When I see the guy play the nickname that best describes him is powder puff.

Brook is ok as a complementary pIece, better as a big off the bench but not a guy you want as your starting center if you are seriously trying to contend for a championship... Unless of course you have three legit superstars playing with him.

I haven't told you what I'm willing to say. I have responded when you said he won't go in the lottery, or likely is a late teens to twenties guy, or whatever, to name your bet. You didn't.

When someone did finally get you to bet, it was hedged all the way down to #8 on your part.

I can easily envision him being a "bust" in the NBA. I think he has a ton of potential and upside, but understand it may not work out. But I would be shocked if he fell out of the top #8.

You had consistently said not in the lottery (as I noted).

If he falls out of the top 8, I'll donate $100 to the tip jar IF you donate $100 to the tip jar if he is drafted anywhere in the lottery.

But seriously: why would Sac-town trade Demarcus Cousins? Seriously, why?

    He read it off clutchfans.

Why does anyone post his crap. He just throws crap against the wall until something sticks. His sources are anonymous tweets to him, posts off of clutchfans and the magic 8 ball.

It now sounds like Houston's trade partner for the #16 and Dalembert could be Sacramento - details coming in today's NBA@2.

    For the 5?!??

Rockets were in trade talks w Magic on trade deadline day until 11 a.m. when Dwight signed opt in. Would've done deal w/out Dwight promise.

I was all for this because frankly all other options seemed fruitless, however I did not realize that two top ten picks were available. I might almost say "screw it" and just keep the two picks.

Hopefully there is a way to make these trades and draft Drummond + whomever but not make the Dwight trade until after Deron has been contacted in free agency and verbally commits.

Gambling Lowry and 2 late lotto picks for one year of Dwight is not much to lose, but 2 top ten picks is another animal all together.

I have no problem with drafting drummond, i been wanting drummond since last offseason...I would hope that morey if he pulls the trigger on a howard deal for two top ten picks does it with some kind of agreement that D.Will will sign here and Howard would resign if D.Will was here, No way Dragic gets resigned if D.Will is coming.

The 16th and Dalembert sounds like a Tyreke Evens trade, not a trade for the 5th pick. Obvioulsy i'm just speculating.

I don't know the details but if morey were to get the 5th and 8th picks for only lowry, dalembert and the 14th and 16th picks, that would be the most ridiculous amount of win ever.
