For people think Drummond can be awesome, how many centers drafted outside of the #1 pick become studs? In the past decade, we're talking about best case scenarios being the likes of Marc Gasol, Bynum, Hibbert, Horford, Lopez, etc.

If Drummond truly has all the stuff, he'd be drafted where Oden, Yao, Howard, Duncan, etc. were drafted, Number 1 overall pick.

I could see him being equal to or better than Hibbert, Horford and Lopez.

Sooo.....when you say "It is expected that we will be left with:"....I want you to realize that you actually mean - "I am expecting we will be left with:"

Lowry and a pick may be out the door for the number 5. But that second top 10 pick....you do realize you need to trade players for one of those. Lee and Dragic won't both be here to play SG, Scola and Camby will be another year older....so Howard, Williams, Patterson, Parsons, Budinger and vet mins don't inspire a ton of confidence in me against the Bulls, Heat, or Thunder.

Yea i just saw it too, the only thing that will stop him from being another Dwight Howard is himself

I can see why people say before the season he was above Anthony Davis

If im Morey i might have to think hard about trading this kid away

    Oden was a stud?

Regardless, I guess now we consider this team too good to bother needing a Marc Gasol, Bynum, Hibbert, Horford or Lopez..........although I'm not sure why?

Why vet mins? The Rockets can have more than enough cap room for even a max FA.

Are the Rockets going to wait until draft day? Or Rockets want to do the deal now? Do anyone know?

the great thing about getting 2 top 10 picks is that if the Howard deal fails, we still get two young talented players and start rebuilding..

If he had a decent season, he would be above Anthony Davis right now.. no questions asked

I think his defense will translate well in the NBA, but he has zero offensive game and his jumper looks ridiculous. He is going to need a lot of work if he is going to average more than 15 ppg. That said I would be very happy if we took a swing by picking him if we can trade up.

DeAndre Jordan from watching that footage looked more like a Tyson Chandler to me

Yeah that might be a decent comparison as well.

Yeah he measured in right under 6'10 but weighs 278 pounds. Please link me to highlights of guys not in the nba that are a similar size doing more impressive things.

That's a roster that can make it to the Finals. I'd think we'd get steamrolled by Miami, though.

HAHA, there is no way in hell that roster would make it to the finals. Maybe a top 5 seed in the West

I can't believe people still think that having high-shelf potential and being projected to be picked high in the lottery means he's definitely worth getting. Thabeet looked great in college too- even scarier, even better than Drummond.

Those best case scenarios are actually pretty good. Houston has a tradition of developing young Centers. It's time we get back to that.

Thabeet is nowhere near the athlete Drummond is. Thabeet's potential was based on him being 7'3 while Drummond's is on him being one of, if not the best athlete in the draft. You can't really compare the two besides them both being risky picks.

You don't know why because you seem to think only top centers exist with a top lottery pick. For reference, PFs drafted outside pick 1 include Love, Amare, Bosh, Aldridge, and others. Wing players not top-1 include Durant, Wade, Roy, etc. PGs drafted outside pick 1 include CP3, DWill, Rubio, Westbrook, Curry, etc.

I'd rather aim for a potential superstar than some guy who only make an all-star team because there are no centers in the NBA.

    Toronto trade:
    Martin, Monty & 16 for 8th pick

    Kings trade:
    Lowry & 14 for 5th pick

5th, 8th, Budinger, and Dalembert for Howard and 19th pick.

Draft Perry Jones at 19, sign Williams.

    Re-sign Dragic and Lee.

    Williams
    Dragic / Lee
    Parsons / Jones
    Scola / Patterson
    Howard

Sign one of the unrestricted free agent centers.
