Salary cap considerations of which I'm ignorant aside, obtaining Noah for one of our picks and Dalembert would be outstanding.
Oh wait. We agree on this! Cool. It just makes sense. 5 who boards, defends, passes, and hurts Chicago's cap going forward, especially in a year that Derrick Rose won't play.
They shouldn't have to. The "rumour" out there is that they want a first round pick, and a trade exception for him. Thats no problem at all, but there are some major questions you have to ask yourself about Noah. The major question is, as much as we would love to have him, is he really your big man answer going forward, and whats his health like? I think Noah would be a great pickup as a secondary move, but he's not a big you can run your offense through. He is a nice passer who you could run some of Adelman's old corner sets if they wanted to use him for that reason, but whatever highly paid big the Rockets get, it should almost be mandatory that they command a double team on offense. Noah... not so much. The opposing defense will still be able to shade off of Noah to give a light double team to Scola. If Scola is staying with this team going forward, the other big he plays with needs to not be an offensive liability for it to work on the court. Those are some big concerns that I have about him at least offensively, salary cap, and health wise. Other than that, you throw Noah in the middle of this lineup and the defensive intensity would be off the charts. I love the way this guy plays.
