no he wouldn't. If you remember correctly, he was a flop without a big man anchoring the paint and drawing a double team.

He would be great backing up Marbury in China.

Of course his stats as a starter are better. It takes a ton of mental pressure off a player when they have the opportunity to show there stuff on a consistent day-to-day basis. It's tougher to come in looking to impress, throws you off your game.

Revisionist history. Nobody would have said at the time of the trade that Dragic was more valuable, more talented, or had more upside than Brooks. Brooks was a rising star (coming off an injury I think) and Dragic was a backup that barely got minutes.

In hindsight, and much to the surprise of pretty much everyone, we got the better of that PG swap, obviously, but to call Phoenix's willingness to swap those two PG's irrational is, itself, irrational.

No history lesson here. Brooks was coming off MIP season but after the injury did not recover his form and sulked and pouted his way out of town because he was unhappy that the Rockets did not extend him a new contract.

It's revisionist history to say that Dragic was not getting minutes in Phoenix because he as averaging over 17 minutes a game. Solid rotation minutes for a reserve player.

It was reported that Phoenix wanted AB in the 1st round before Houston picked him. Regardless, this has been a complete one sided trade in favor of Houston even if Phoenix had not tossed in a 1st round pick to Houston in the deal.

    Umm... what?

He put up 20 ppg with no center on the team.

After watching the caliber of players in the nba finals, does it really matter whether Dragic or Lowry is the starting pg? Neither one makes this team title contenders. They're role players at best, and I'm tired of talking about role players. Their impact really doesn't make a difference until that superstar comes along.

It sort of puts things into perspective and shows that Rockets have awhile, before they are true contenders.

Agree completely. Also, I feel that there has been a change in Kyle's disposition since he got his contract. He seems more ornery and self-serving. Jacking up way more shots than he should, when his strong suit is passing and driving, and also fussing at team-mates. I would much prefer Goran at this point.

He also put up an astounding 11 ppg the next year on 37% shooting. Such a lights out scorer. Rick Adelman made him what he was. Meanwhile Lowry is a pure point that can do well in almost any system.

Lowry had a sports hernia that got worse during the course of the season, eventually requiring surgery.

He was a great scorer before he severely injured his ankle and was forced to bench duty thanks to Lowry being the better PG.

Nobody is saying AB should be a starting PG. He'd be a great option off the bench, though.

He was injured that year - and if you recall he had 19 points in the first half of that game he got injured.

If you are going to use Lowry's drop in production because of injury, then at least be consistent when talking about Brooks too.

Those pesky fights with coaches tend to magnify those pesky injuries.

Not too impressed with how Dragic closed the season. When we needed it most, we dropped 6 straight... 6 straight...

He got his stats though, that's for sure... Sticky fingers... Throw the ball ahead would you?

Looks like DaDakota is already rounding into mid-season off-season form and starting to crank up the hate & bait wagon.

Slag his perrenial whipping boy (Lowry) - check
Pimp his current favorite (Dragic) - check
Defend his former missed call (Brooks) - check

    rinse/repeat - ad infinitum

It's gonna be a long summer.

In those same games Lowry returned. Lowry wasn't 100%. His presence threw off the chemistry. Dragic didn't always play the same balls-out style, sometimes deferring to Kyle. But he was also getting exhausted.

I'm not blaming Lowry for the losses, just as you shouldn't blame Dragic. You can't have two starting-caliber pg's. And, one way or the other, we won't.

Lowry unhappy: what a head case!
AB unhappy: he had good reasons!
