Oh, I'd look into insight into why this is happening, but I don't think that's coming any time soon.

This is what Gandhi had to say about Mohammed. Keep in mind that, unlike you, he actually read about his life.

“I wanted to know the best of the life of one who holds today an undisputed sway over the hearts of millions of mankind… I became more than ever convinced that it was not the sword that won a place for Islam in those days in the scheme of life. It was the rigid simplicity, the utter self-effacement of the Prophet the scrupulous regard for pledges, his intense devotion to his friends and followers, his intrepidity, his fearlessness, his absolute trust in God and in his own mission. These and not the sword carried everything before them and surmounted every obstacle. When I closed the second volume (of the Prophet’s biography), I was sorry there was not more for me to read of that great life.”

You have consistently and constantly proven yourself to be an idiot.

    Congratulations.

Into why an overly excited intern who considers himself an economist would make sensationalist thread titles? That can easily be explained by the fragile, affirmation-seeking psychological makeup of that intern.

    Personal insults, ATW. tsk tsk.

Keep on topic for once in your life, on your own thread. Some insight into the thread topic would be nice.

He read a biography about the man, I didn't say Mohammed was not a great man, I think he was absolutely one.

But, I don't believe for one millisecond he was talking to god, or any messenger of Gods.

I believe he was a great political figure of his time, and serious about his convictions - a great leader - but not a prophet of any kind.

    Link?

    Interesting read.

Without a doubt, Mohammed must have been at least one thing (like Jesus) - charismatic. But you could say that about a lot of good and bad people.

Sorry if it hurt your fragile ego. You could probably try to boost it by starting another thread with a sensationalist thread title (and then bumping your own thread a million times).

I think I will take Gandhi's assessment over assessments made by well known bigots on this board.

As I said, I am very confident that he actually read his biography (not autobiography).

Of course you will, wouldn't want to question your beliefs with actual knowledge.

Knowledge? This is absolute irony coming from one of the most proven ignorant posters on this board.

That is the best way to ignore truth, just call it ignorant.

I hope you hold that same view when you think about ignorant books that were allegedly given to ignorant people 1300 years ago - in order to advance one man's political agenda.

Nah, I think I'll start 600 threads on the same topic, and bump those.

So, no insight into why this is happening? No substance, no commentary, nothing?

Let's at least have the CIA World Factbook for Mali. It'll be something to chew on.

    https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/ml.html

    Life expectancy at birth:
Field info displayed for all countries in alpha order.
    total population: 53.06 years
country comparison to the world: 206
    male: 51.43 years
    female: 54.73 years (2011 est.)

maybe, just maybe, you should start a rush of threads about poverty and human suffering, because apparently, you care so much you're on the ground where you can question other peoples' ability to have empathy.

I dont have to just call it. Your posting history displaying ignorance and your drama once your ego gets hurt is well known here.

I dont even have to try to make any of it up.

I'm pretty sure that 100 lashes by Islamic extremists do not have a positive effect on life expectancy.

Thanks ATW, do you have any other gems of insight into the situation, or do I have to provide it all for this thread?

    Lets see....

You attack Mohammed. Say Islam needs Gandhi.

I bring up a quote from Gandhi saying how impressed he was with Mohammed after reading his biography.

Your message was shred into pieces.

Thank you for making yourself look like an idiot again.

The funny thing is that I know this, you google it and post it. Same as in your own alarmist thread.
