Ahem, this is the same George Zimmerman that has already lied to the court about his finances? btw, lie detector tests aren't admissible in court, because some people are able to lie without detection.

Bringing up the Skittles and Iced Tea is a reference to the fact that the Zimmer"man" was WRONG in his stupid assumption that Trayvon was a criminal.....I just hope the jury gives him the prison time he deserves for taking an innocent life, no matter how much the concealed-carry fanboyz howl.

I don't own a gun and probably won't ever own a gun. The Skittles and Iced Tea card is the same tactic The National Enquirer uses to get dumb people's attention to read their worthless rag. Same if he was buying gas or toilet paper, it has nothing to do with anything. It's designed to get bleeding hearts focus away from the facts. Coulda just said he was returning from the store and left it at that.

And yet the fact he might have smoked pot sometime in the 20 days before he was brutally murdered is oh so relevant!

Huh? If Martin was carrying a gun or knife you can be certain it would be a key fact of the case... so why isn't the fact he was only carrying a package of Skittles candy and a can of ice tea?

dumbest post in the entire thread

Skittles and ice tea have nothing to do with whether GZ is guilty or not.

There's something called reasonable self-defense. In that messed up society, GZ still could have gotten away with murdering a child if he felt "threatened". But it becomes a bit difficult to justify that when you know, with many more pounds, and holding a gun, he was "threatened" by a kid with Skittles and iced tea.

You clearly haven't seen pictures of Trayvon and GZ from the time of the murder. TM is a fit, athletic football player and GZ is a plump out of shape short man.

Don't just fall "hook, line and sinker" for the media's Hollister pics.

    LOL

did you just try to justify a murder because Trayvon is fit?

Forget the fact that GZ has a gun and Trayvon doesn't. Convenient.

I guess going to the gym is a bad idea with people like you around.

It's irrelevant because he didn't know the kid has skittles and an iced-tea till after the incident. It is COMPLETELY irrelevant. It is used by the media to garner sympathy for TM, which is ridiculous because I think everyone feels sympathy for TM and his family.

That doesn't mean GZ is guilty of murder.

It should. But America has this thing where everyone is a "threat" and you should "defend" yourself, so to find GZ guilty of murder under all these messed up circumstances, it is enough to prove that TM was and never could have been a tangible threat for a bigger and gun-carrying individual. I haven't followed the case that closely, but if that happens, lock GZ up for good.

He was threatened by a kid who was beating his head in the ground. And give up the physical advantage crap... Unless you are SamFisher, you'd consider GZ to be a runt.

I love how the story gets twisted. It's actually the kid that was being followed in the dark by a grown man with a gun. The fact that the kid was armed with skittles and iced tea is sort of relevant to the context of what happened.

Jeez......Wake up already. TM was beating the crap out of GZ. Only an idiot can't see that. GZ shot TM because he thought his life was in danger.

First of all, a) that is based on circumstantial evidence, b) You could be a midget, and not feel insecure with a gun. At the very least, shoot to wound, not to kill, or shoot in the ******* air.

Nothing excuses the fact that he was pursuing TM either. He was looking for trouble. If he's a gun-happy runt who likes confrontation, maybe it's better for all involved that he be kept far far away from people.

You don't know he was looking for trouble. In fact, he was trying to help his community, which had been hit by a string of robberies.

You don't shoot in the air when a guy is on top of you unless you want to risk having the gun wrestled away from you.

How can you be "armed" with candy and a drink? Just say he had no weapons and leave it at that. The only one twisting the story are the TM supporters because they want to play the sympathy card. TM most likely wouldn't have attacked GZ if he had known he had a gun. TM saw that he had a physical advantage over GZ and stupidly decided to attack him because he felt dissed.

He's a gun-happy runt apparently. That's become the "defense". Maybe he shouldn't be pulling amateur "Batman" hour if that's the case.
