So I caved. The hairline started going early in college and I started using Nioxin and it had been doing the job for a few years. But since I've started working I've definitely noticed some thinning up front above my right temple. The hair's still there, but it's getting finer.

I'm sure I'm not the only one here. Anyone care to share results? Thinking of getting a finasteride script too.

I don't think LeBron's headband trick would meet my company's dress code, but I could also try this I suppose:

I used to buzz my head with a #1, and I'm thinking of doing that now since I heard that in the beginning you'll shed a bunch of hair. I don't know if I want to straight up bic it though, my hair is pretty coarse and when I used to shave my face with a razor (before switching to a trimmer) I'd get those awful shaving pimples.

I know the feeling man. 30 and thinning around the top. I haven't caved, but would if Flex/FSA would pay for it... Just for some insurance. It's one of those things where I wouldn't care if I were married.

Don't know what else to say. The doctor would know more I guess. I heard rogaine can influence aggression, so who knows what the newer ones do (likely less).

That's what I started doing. The larger my forehead grew, the shorter I shaved my head. I now shave it completely bald 1x a week. I debated asking a place if they'd laser my head. What's the point in having any hair if I'm just going to shave it all off?

Decided to give Rogaine a try; had some averse reaction (though it might not be related); decided to let nature run its course.

I hear rogain works, but you have you keep using it. I heard your hair will even start to fall out faster once you stop using.

Started shaving mine a few years ago, usually once every few weeks with either no guard or a 1/2. I miss my hair, but it doesn't bother me anymore like it did in my 20's.

Anybody know someone that has had hair restoration surgery (or whatever it's called)? I've heard some horror stories in the past and some people just end up looking far worse. Wondering if it's gotten any better.

    Rogaine only does so much.

The only thing that really works is Propecia. Been using since '05, and I'm 31.

I thought Rogaine only works for bald spots in the back, not for receding hairlines up front?
