yeah, i thought I was in this thread when I first posted it. didn't mean a double post. my bad here's another:
I was waiting for the right moment when Americans would laugh the most. You Germans know nothing about timing, and laugh strangely at your own jokes. so, the consensus is: "Auf gehts Deutschland!" if your in an elevator with strangers and can't really expect to start one of Germany's rhyming chants like "Deutcheland vor, noch ein Tor!" And it never hurts to throw in a Scheiss greichenland, even when taking a dump.
Nah, we don't mind them. We like going there on vacation. Just make sure you don't sing the first stanza of the German national anthem, because, among other things, it has slightly expanded Germany's borders (from today's perspective) .
Did you hear the true story of a summit of German bankers last Summer talking to Greece politicians. One head of a bank (maybe Deutsche Bank? can't remember), advised them on how to pay their debts by thinking creatively about liquidating their assets: "Why don't you sell you islands?" And he was serious. Can you imagine Germans snatching up the best islands for German tourist vacation villages?
Not his best day, played a few bad passes, but good defensively, intercepted like 5 Greek passes already.
