They suffered from T-mac syndrome. In Game 3 Westbrook completely dominated the fourth quarter up until the last four minutes of the game or so. Scores several times in a row on drives to the basket, then inexplicably goes into jumpshot mode for the rest of the game. Very similar to how T-mac played with the game on the line and exactly the same result - a loss. In my opinion, if they keep attacking the basket for the last minutes of game three then they win that game and the series looks quite different.
They are young, they have yet to get that complete trust in their system etc.... And Brooks needs to teach them a zone. DD
Great post! Regarding Maynor: I don't know if most people were able to recognize during the playoffs the special chemistry Collison and Harden have. Maynor is the 3rd wheel. Unlike Reggie Jackson and Fisher, he actually directed the offense for their 2nd unit instead of just handing the ball to Harden and getting out of the way. He will be a giant improvement over Fisher, who will not return. We can only hope Brooks grows up.
