    Blatche + #3 for Dalembert + #16?

Perhaps, but I'm not sure how far off it is, offloading Lewis and Blatche for more manageable players would be a win for that org

To the Hornets for the 10th makes some sense.

They need a center now and maybe Sam can help Davis develop.

It might make sense, if the Rockets were to add some throw-ins. Budinger the obvious in that he is all offense, no defense at the 2/3, which is kind of what the Wizards need now.

But even still, at this point would the potential savings even open up any money to sign free agents, or more likely just make sure they don't have to pay luxury tax? Seems the later... which implies the Wizards are trading the #3 pick for the ability to not pay luxury tax, and ok players of Dalembert and Budinger.

Not enormously off-base, and as a Rockets fan it would be a no-brainer deal and I can't for the life of me think why they'd hesitate. Blatche is way overpaid, but doesn't kill you at $7-$8 million per year.

It's more likely the Wizards would want Dalembert + Martin, and that would be the hesitation. On the one hand, if you told me you could trade Martin for the #6 I'd do it, much less the #3. On the other hand, with Blatche coming back, and also losing the Dalembert trade chip, it comes down to what else is still on the table. I'd still do this deal, too, though I think to make it work it needs to be tweaked a bit.
You can always just not play him.

Im pretty sure its not Blatche. Wiz wouldn't give up #3 pick just to get rid of him.

I think its either Golden State at #7 or Detroit at #9. Golden State has "toxic" contracts (Richard Jefferson and Andris Biedrins). Remember the Rockets were interested in Biedrins at last year. Detroit has "toxic" contracts too (Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva).

So would yall trade the #16 and Dalembert for #7 and Jefferson or Beidrins? or #16 and Dalembert for Gordon or Charlie V?

If not for top6, we should actually trade down to offload our toxic contract.

    Then offload Scola's mediocre contract.

Only seems worth it for a chance at a franchise-changing player (possibly Drummund), and after #7, I don't know how much difference there is in player value into the mid teens.

One thing to consider is apparently Charlotte will trade the number #2, but don't want to drop out of the top 6. Maybe they stretch that a bit to the top 8, so you could stepping stone your way to #2.

Why give up an asset to do it when you can amnesty him instead if it comes down to that?
